About the team + role 

We’re excited to invite talented and motivated iOS Developers to join our Apple Design Award-winning team to help expand Robinhood’s mobile experience for our customers. Our iOS community is extremely tight knit! We have weekly syncs, frequent tech talks, and recurring in-person offsites. Come join us!

The Crypto Trading group builds the mobile experiences that enable customers to buy, sell, and manage digital assets with clarity and reliability. The team focuses on delivering performant, secure, and intuitive trading flows while partnering closely with backend, product, and design teams to support evolving crypto products and regulatory requirements!

As an iOS Engineer, you will design and build core features for Robinhood’s crypto trading experience on iOS. You will contribute to architecture decisions, improve app performance and reliability, and collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features that directly support customer trading activity and portfolio management. You will also help define technical direction and raise engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.

This role is based in our New York, NY office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
  • Work with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale
  • Build and enhance iOS features using Swift and UIKit and/or SwiftUI to support core customer experiences
  • Contribute to mobile architecture and code structure to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Optimize app performance and responsiveness using iOS profiling and debugging tools
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code and standard iOS testing practices
What you bring
  • You have 4+ years of professional iOS development experience, including shipping customer-facing features in production applications.
  • You demonstrate solid proficiency in Swift and modern iOS frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, UIKit), and apply established architectural patterns to build maintainable, testable code.
  • You independently own medium-to-large features from technical design through implementation, testing, and release.
  • You write clean, well-documented code and contribute to code reviews that improve quality and team standards.
  • You collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into reliable, performant mobile experiences.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$157,000$185,000 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$139,000$163,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$122,000$144,000 USD
