The IT Communications Officer manages all IT networks and systems on board luxury cruise ships, providing technical support, user management, and ensuring communication infrastructure is operational.
For the luxury cruise vessels of Hapag Lloyd Cruises we are looking for an IT Communication Officer (f/m)
Your Tasks:
Responsible for all IT related Networks and IT Systems on board, including Internet Platforms, Server, V-Sat, Hardware and supporting installations
Administration of the entire IT – Infrastructure such as but not limited to:
Mail server, Active Directory, Proxy - Server, File- und Print server
Technical Support to other Department
User-management for Systems and Appications
Multimedia Systems (Video on Demand, IP-TV, Screen Management)
Access Portal Internet for Passenger and Crew
Ships communication (SatComm - TV / Daten / Internet)
Telephone System
Network Support
Back-Up System
Your profile:
Professional qualification in the field of IT
5 years of work experience, experience on board cruise ships would be a plus
Excellent knowledge of German language is compulsory as well as fluent business English.
Good time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Willingness to provide service
Communicative with a safe appearance
Language Requirements:
All shipboard employees must be able to communicate in German and in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers
