Who we are:

We are a leader in fraud prevention and AML compliance. Our platform uses device intelligence, behavior biometrics, machine learning, and AI to stop fraud before it happens. Today, over 300 banks, retailers, and fintechs worldwide use Sardine to stop identity fraud, payment fraud, account takeovers, and social engineering scams. We have raised $145M from world-class investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Activant, Visa, Experian, FIS, and Google Ventures.

Our culture:

  • We have hubs in the Bay Area, NYC, Austin, Toronto, and São Paulo. However, we maintain a remote-first work culture. #WorkFromAnywhere

  • We hire talented, self-motivated individuals with extreme ownership and high growth orientation.

  • We value performance and not hours worked. We believe you shouldn't have to miss your family dinner, your kid's school play, friends get-together, or doctor's appointments for the sake of adhering to an arbitrary work schedule.

Location:

  • United States (From Home / Beach / Mountain / Cafe / Anywhere!)

  • We are a remote-first company with a globally distributed team. So you can find your productive zone and work from there.

About the role:

As the IT Operations Lead at Sardine, you’ll own the systems that keep a global, remote-first team productive and secure. You’ll be responsible for everything from device management and access controls to cloud tooling and day-to-day support — balancing long-term infrastructure decisions with hands-on execution.

This role sits at the intersection of IT, Security, People, and Engineering. You’ll be a trusted partner across the company, helping us scale safely, move quickly, and deliver a seamless employee experience as we grow.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, maintain, and improve core IT systems, including Google Workspace, device management (JAMF), and GCP cloud infrastructure.

  • Partner with People and Talent on onboarding and offboarding, hardware provisioning, and access management for a growing, global team.

  • Manage tools like VPN, password management, and endpoint security; ensure systems are patched, monitored, and compliant with internal security standards.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT issues, supporting teammates via Slack, email, and video.

  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories and help administer our collaboration stack (e.g., Slack, GitHub, Asana).

  • Keep systems documentation up to date and share regular updates on system health, risks, and improvements.

What you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or technical support in a fast-moving environment (startup or high-growth experience is a plus).

  • Comfort supporting macOS environments, networking basics, and hardware troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace and deep familiarity with MDM workflows.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A self-starter who can prioritize a diverse workload and manage the IT roadmap independently.

Preferred tooling & skills:

  • System Administration: Hands-on experience with JAMF, BetterCloud, 1Password, and GitHub.

  • Collaboration & Productivity: Proficiency in managing enterprise environments for Slack, Asana, Chrome, and Microsoft Office.

  • Cloud & HRIS: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and HRIS automation tools like Rippling.

Benefits we offer:

  • Generous compensation in cash and equity

  • Early exercise for all options, including pre-vested

  • Work from anywhere: Remote-first Culture

  • Flexible paid time off and Year-end break

  • Health insurance, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents - US and Canada specific

  • 4% matching in 401k / RRSP - US and Canada specific

  • MacBook Pro delivered to your door

  • One-time stipend to set up a home office — desk, chair, screen, etc.

  • Monthly meal stipend

  • Monthly social meet-up stipend

  • Annual health and wellness stipend

  • Annual Learning stipend
