Summary/Job Purpose:

The IT Operations Manager oversees production system support activities to ensure the smooth operation of enterprise applications, prompt resolution of issues, and continuous improvement. They deliver technical support to users, demonstrating exceptional customer service, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Address incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Investigate and resolve recurring issues effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions for the production support team to enhance their skills.
  • Provide comprehensive support for enterprise applications.
  • Deploy updates with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Enhance system performance through optimization techniques.
  • Engage with stakeholders and manage their expectations effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, resolutions, and modifications.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
  • Implement process improvements to achieve operational excellence.
  • Educate the team on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee vendor relations concerning application support.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to system integrity.
  • Software troubleshooting, database management, application support.
  • Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language.
  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of P&C insurance processes and regulations.

Education and Experience Required: 

Diploma/Degree & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution.
  • Over five years of experience in production support, including more than two years in property and casualty insurance.
  • Preferably experienced in software development with knowledge of coding languages.
