LYNX Technology Partners is seeking a skilled and experienced
Information Technology (IT) Project Manager to join our Enterprise
Project Management Office (EPMO). This role is ideal for a strategic
thinker with a strong background in IT project leadership and a
passion for delivering impactful solutions aligned with
organizational goals.
The IT PM works within general methods and procedures, and
exercises considerable independent judgment to select proper
courses of action. The work requires knowledge of the policies,
methods, and procedures of the fields of information technology
and project management. Activities include identifying,
prioritizing, authorizing, managing, and controlling projects and
programs to achieve specific strategic business objectives. The
employee serves as a subject matter expert regarding use of the
LYNX’s Project Management Methodology (PMM). Positions in this job
do not supervise but coordinate or oversee the activities of
other employees.
As an IT PM, y will provide strategic planning for program
management; align skills and resources; monitor, manage, and control
agency projects within designated Project Management Offices;
and provide for all requisite management to fulfill
the program/project requirements including requisitions, and
releases. The position manages the Information Technology
projects, developing processes, project classification guidance,
and requirements documents. Activities include monitoring and
controlling systems/business analysis, development and
implementation of applications in a networked PC environment, PC/LAN
support, technical writing system processes, managing scope,
testing, implementation, schedules and changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT projects of varying size and complexity
from initiation through completion.
- Ensure projects align with strategic objectives and comply
with LYNX’s Project Management Methodology (PMM).
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and oversee project
activities without direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders and ensure
transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide strategic planning and guidance for program and
project management within designated PMOs.
- Oversee systems analysis, application development,
implementation, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing IT projects in a structured
project management environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles,
tools, and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with networked PC environments, LAN support, and
technical writing is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
