Job Title: Workday Consultant (Implementation)Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Consultant to lead functional delivery across end-to-end Workday implementations. This role will own the product vision and backlog during implementation, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with project timelines and Workday best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the functional owner throughout the full implementation lifecycle:
- Discovery
- Design
- Build
- Test
- Deploy
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
- Drive design decisions aligned with Workday best practices, minimizing over-customization
- Collaborate closely with:
- Functional Consultants
- Integration Teams
- Client Stakeholders
- Lead design workshops and solution validation sessions
- Ensure readiness for:
- Conference Room Pilots (CRPs)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Go-Live activities
- Manage scope, prioritize backlog, and control scope creep during implementation
- Act as the escalation point for all functional decisions during deployment
- 7–12+ years of experience in the Workday ecosystem
- Minimum of 2–3 full lifecycle Workday implementations (mandatory)
- At least 2+ years of experience working with a Workday Partner organization
- Strong functional expertise in one or more modules:
- Payroll
- Absence
- Time Tracking
- Financials
- Proven experience working in Agile or hybrid implementation environments
- Active Workday certifications (must be willing to transfer Certification)
- Strong understanding of:
- Workday configuration vs. customization boundaries
- Implementation accelerators and reusable templates
