Role Summary

The Compliance Analyst supports the Retail Compliance Division by reviewing customer activity, investigating monitoring system alerts, identifying potentially suspicious transactions, and addressing operation compliance tasks across the Bank’s branch network, all while maintaining accurate and well supported written assessments. This role works under the guidance of senior analysts and supervisors to ensure adherence to bank policies, as well as financial, legal, and regulatory requirements. This position is fully in office.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Anti-Money Laundering/Fraud Monitoring- Review and monitor system generated alerts for potential structuring, money laundering, check fraud, ACH fraud, account takeover, kiting, and other suspicious activity.  Escalate alerts, create cases/investigations, and maintain complete and accurate documentation of reviews performed.  
  • Tax levies & subpoenas- Respond to tax levies and government subpoena requests under the direction of an experienced analyst and supervisor.
  • CTR review- Review Daily Cash Reports for cash transactions that may meet Currency Transaction Report (CTR) thresholds.  Create and file CTRs for qualifying transactions and review generated CTRs for accuracy and completeness.
  • New account review- Review new account documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with bank standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Branch follow-up- Contact branches to resolve discrepancies or missing information related to alerts/cases/investigations or branch operational controls such as large dollar due diligence documentation.  
  • Audit preparation- Assist in organizing and preparing documents for internal/external audits.
  • Reg E tracking- Review, track, and maintain records of Regulation E claims.
  • Additional duties- Perform other tasks as assigned by the department head.
  • Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000
Qualifications
  • At least two years of banking or financial services experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial, legal, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills when interacting with branch staff and internal teams.
  • The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information. 
  • College degree preferred.
