About Gradient

Gradient is a future-forward experiential marketing agency that designs and produces brand activations, product launches, retail experiences, immersive programs, and large-scale events that bring brands to life in the physical world. We create experiences that spark emotion, build meaningful connections, and deliver measurable impact for global brands.

Our work lives at the intersection of strategy, creativity, storytelling, and precision execution. In a world saturated with content, Gradient creates brand experiences people engage with, remember, and measure. We believe experiential marketing is more than telling a brand story. It is about inviting people to live it.

About the Role

Gradient is looking for a Jr. Marketing & Social Media Specialist to support and own key parts of the agency’s social media presence, event capture operations, and creative production across digital channels.

This role is responsible for how Gradient looks and shows up externally across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital touchpoints. You will help ensure every event we produce is captured, edited, organized, and published in a way that reflects the quality, creativity, and polish of the work.

This is a highly visual, highly production-oriented role. You will work within established systems and creative direction from marketing leadership, while having real ownership over execution, scheduling, content coordination, and follow-through.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye, moves quickly, is highly organized, and understands the connection between social presence, brand storytelling, and business development for a premium experiential agency.

What You’ll Do

Social Media & Brand Storytelling

  • Help bring Gradient’s work, culture, and creative point of view to life across Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Plan, curate, write, schedule, and publish content that reflects the quality and polish of Gradient’s experiential work.
  • Create content across feed posts, carousels, reels, Stories, and LinkedIn posts.
  • Monitor performance and use insights to strengthen Gradient’s social presence.
  • Maintain a consistent visual and editorial standard aligned with Gradient’s brand voice.

LinkedIn & Thought Leadership

  • Support Gradient’s LinkedIn presence through project highlights, company updates, industry perspectives, and leadership content.
  • Source visuals, shape post formats, support copy development, and schedule content.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate Gradient’s voice within the experiential marketing industry.
  • Track engagement and recommend ways to improve reach, relevance, and consistency.

Event Content & Capture

  • Support photo and video capture for Gradient events, activations, launches, and brand experiences.
  • Partner with internal teams and external photographers to ensure each project is documented beautifully.
  • Help create capture plans, shot lists, and creative direction for content partners.
  • Review galleries, organize assets, make selects, and prepare content for social, marketing, new business, and case study use.

Creative & Marketing Asset Support

  • Create polished, on-brand marketing materials for digital, social, and business development needs.
  • Use Canva and other creative tools to support social graphics, presentations, one-pagers, and case study assets.
  • Bring a strong visual eye to every deliverable while working within Gradient’s brand guidelines.
  • Help ensure marketing materials feel clear, consistent, elevated, and aligned with the agency’s positioning.

Website & Digital Presence

  • Support ongoing updates to Gradient’s website and digital channels.
  • Assist with content, copy, image, and project updates in Framer.
  • Help ensure Gradient’s digital presence reflects the agency’s evolving portfolio, capabilities, and point of view.

Community Engagement & UGC

  • Identify and reshare relevant content from clients, partners, influencers, attendees, and collaborators.
  • Help collect and organize user-generated content from events and brand experiences.
  • Engage with relevant social content in a way that feels thoughtful, timely, and aligned with Gradient’s voice.
  • Help keep Gradient visible in the social conversation surrounding our work, clients, and cultural moments.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a strong visual eye and understands how to make content feel elevated, polished, and intentional.
  • Understands that what looks good and what performs well are not always the same thing, and knows how to balance both.
  • Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deliverables at once.
  • Moves quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Has strong project management instincts and follows through on timelines, approvals, assets, and deliverables.
  • Is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable asking the right questions to keep work moving.
  • Is excited by social media, creative production, experiential marketing, events, luxury brands, culture, and brand storytelling.
  • Can collaborate effectively with marketing leadership, production teams, account teams, photographers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Takes pride in making work look beautiful, organized, and strategically aligned.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, creative agency environment.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in social media, content production, creative coordination, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience managing Instagram for a brand, agency, creative business, or similar organization.
  • Experience supporting or managing LinkedIn content for a company or brand.
  • Strong caption writing, content planning, scheduling, and community engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva.
  • Experience with Photoshop or Lightroom is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working with AI tools for content drafting, editing, organization, and creative support.
  • Experience with social scheduling tools such as Buffer.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track deliverables, approvals, timelines, and assets.
  • Interest in experiential marketing, events, luxury brands, creative production, or the creative industries.
  • Based in or able to commute to New York City.
  • Ability to be onsite for select events, activations, or capture needs as required.

What We Offer

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k).
  • Parental leave for new parents.
  • Citi Bike membership wellness perk.
  • Talkspace membership wellness perk.
  • Opportunity for career growth and development.
  • A dynamic, creative, and collaborative work environment.
  • The opportunity to help shape how Gradient shows up externally and to support exciting, high-impact brand experiences with a talented and passionate team.
