Junior Media Designer
Company: Permian Labs | USD.AI
Location: New York City, in-office
Employment Type: Full-time

About USD.AI
We’re building the financing layer for the AI era. Training and deploying AI models demands trillions of dollars in GPUs, data centers, and power — yet the traditional financial system struggles to recognize and unlock the value of that infrastructure. USD.AI closes that gap by turning physical compute into on-chain collateral, powering a dollar-pegged stablecoin (USDai) and its yield-bearing counterpart (sUSDai), and making compute a liquid, financeable asset class for the first time.

We sit at the intersection of AI infrastructure, structured finance, and DeFi — and our brand needs to look the part.

The Team
Our team draws experience from DRW, Deutsche Bank, Rockpoint, Nansen, Balancer, and other leading DeFi and TradFi institutions. We are Series A+ funded by Coinbase Ventures, Framework, Dragonfly, DCG, Nascent, Ethereal, and others. We are growing rapidly and have recently announced strategic partnerships with PayPal, Aravolta, and others.
We have no middle managers and move quickly from idea to execution. You will work directly with founders and senior team members on live deals.

The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Media Designer to help shape how the world sees USD.AI and Permian Labs. You’ll work across everything visual: social content, campaign graphics, decks, motion, video, and web assets. This is a high-output, high-ownership role for a designer with sharp fundamentals and exceptional taste who wants to grow fast inside a small, ambitious team.

Responsibilities
  • Design visual assets across social, web, campaigns, investor materials, and product marketing
  • Work primarily in Figma — it’s our home base — alongside Illustrator, Photoshop, and whatever tool the job calls for
  • Concept and produce short-form video and motion content for social and launches
  • Translate complex financial and technical ideas into clear, beautiful visuals
  • Keep a pulse on design and internet culture, and bring trend-aware ideas to the table
  • Experiment with AI-assisted workflows to move faster without sacrificing quality

Requirements
  • A strong graphic design portfolio. Your work speaks first — we want to see range, craft, and polish across formats.
  • Fluency in Figma. It’s where our team works day to day, so you should be fast and comfortable in it — alongside a strong command of the broader design toolkit (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Excellent taste. An instinct for typography, color, composition, and restraint. You know when something is 90% there and can’t leave it alone.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with video production and editing (Premiere, DaVinci, CapCut, or similar)
  • On-set production skills — we shoot video regularly, and someone who can AC, light, or grip is a huge help
  • Motion design skills (After Effects, Rive, Lottie)
  • A native feel for social media — you understand trends, formats, and what makes content travel
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflows (image/video generation, AI-assisted design and editing)

What We Offer
  • Base salary: USD $55,000 - $70,000 depending on experience
  • Long-term token incentive package.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Health & wellness reimbursements.
