Who We Are

At Moxxi, we’re redefining performance marketing with cutting-edge technology and a relentless focus on results. As a profitable, bootstrapped start-up, we are led by a team of industry veterans in performance marketing, ad tech, and digital publishing. Together, we’re building the premier platform to incubate, scale, and optimize digitally born businesses, setting new standards for data-driven success.

Our entrepreneurial team brings proven experience from both global corporations and fast-growing startups. We’re passionate about delivering scalable, profitable outcomes for our partners through advanced profiling, targeting, and continuous optimization. Joining Moxxi means becoming part of a growing start-up in the heart of NYC, where you’ll have the opportunity to accelerate your career, expand your skill set, and shape the future of performance marketing.

The Role:

We're looking for a Junior Optimization Specialist to support our growth product managers, account managers, and analysts in driving performance across Moxxi's portfolio. This is an entry-level role for someone who's energized by the question "how do we make this better?"—and wants to use data to answer it.

This is a launchpad role. You'll sit at the intersection of product, client services, and analytics, gaining broad exposure to how data informs growth decisions and drives execution. You'll support testing initiatives, surface insights from performance data, and help translate optimization opportunities into action. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally with design and engineering teams, giving you visibility into how ideas move from concept to implementation. Whether you eventually move deeper into analytics, product management, account strategy, or operations, this role will help you find your niche.

You'll work alongside experienced PMs, account managers, and analysts who will mentor you as you learn the rhythms of experimentation, measurement, and iteration. Your contributions will directly impact the metrics that matter most to the business.

What You'll Do:

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Pull, organize, and analyze performance data from internal tools and platforms
  • Build and maintain dashboards that track key growth and optimization metrics
  • Prepare clear summaries of what's working, what's not, and what the data suggests we try next
  • Spot trends, anomalies, and patterns that inform optimization decisions
  • Support analysts with data gathering, QA, and visualization tasks
  • Develop a strong understanding of the metrics that drive business performance

Optimization & Experimentation Support

  • Assist growth PMs in setting up, monitoring, and analyzing A/B tests and experiments
  • Track test performance and flag results that hit significance or show unexpected patterns
  • Help document experiment hypotheses, methodologies, and learnings for the team
  • Use data to support the prioritization of optimization opportunities
  • Identify underperforming areas across funnels, flows, and campaigns and surface them to stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with growth PMs to understand product priorities and how data supports decision-making
  • Partner with account managers to connect optimization efforts to client goals and performance
  • Support analysts in forming and validating hypotheses
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams on implementation of tests and product changes
  • Participate in growth meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives—sharing data-driven observations

Process & Tool Management

  • Help maintain documentation for optimization workflows and testing processes
  • Support the rollout of new tools, dashboards, or tracking implementations
  • Assist with QA for tracking, tagging, and data accuracy
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve efficiency (training provided—curiosity required)
Who You Are:
  • 0–2 years of experience (or relevant internships) in analytics, marketing, product, operations, or related fields
  • Genuinely curious about data—you want to understand what the numbers mean and what to do about them
  • Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets—you can wrangle data, build formulas, and create clear summaries
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for spotting things that don't look right in a dataset
  • Strong communicator who can translate data into plain language and actionable insights
  • Eager to learn new tools, frameworks, and ways of working
  • Excited about using modern tools—including AI—to work smarter and move faster
Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of experimentation and A/B testing concepts
  • Familiarity with SQL or interest in learning it
  • Experience with any project management or documentation tools (Notion, Asana, JIRA, etc.)
Why You'll Love This Role:
  • Data is central: You'll work with data every day to understand performance and drive decisions
  • Optimization is the job: You'll spend your time figuring out how to improve things—not maintaining the status quo
  • Broad exposure: Work across product, analytics, account management, design, and engineering to understand how growth actually happens
  • Learn from experts: Get mentored by experienced PMs, account managers, and analysts who've built and scaled products
  • Career flexibility: Build a foundation that opens doors to analytics, product management, account strategy, operations, or wherever your interests lead
Salary Range
$60,000$65,000 USD
