Calix is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Key Account Manager to drive strategic growth and nurture long-term partnerships with our most valued clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with 10-15 years of experience in complex solution sales, a proven record in value-based selling, and exceptional leadership skills in matrixed environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating cross-functional teams, leveraging advanced AI tools, and utilizing leading platforms such as Salesforce (SFDC) and Microsoft Copilot to deliver world-class customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to exceed growth targets and expand Calix’s footprint within key accounts. 
  • Engage in consultative, value-based selling to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. 
  • Lead and coordinate matrix sales teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across product, engineering, marketing, and support functions. 
  • Utilize situational leadership skills to adapt management style and motivate teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
  • Leverage AI-driven insights and automation tools, including Microsoft Copilot and Salesforce (SFDC), to enhance customer engagement and sales productivity. 
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to C-level executives and key stakeholders, articulating complex solutions clearly and persuasively. 
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with customers, acting as a strategic advisor and advocate for their business within Calix. 
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation. 
Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Liberal Arts or Engineering, and curiosity for learning. 
  • 10-15 years’ experience in complex sales environments, with a demonstrable track record of exceeding revenue and growth targets.
  • Expertise in value-based and consultative selling methodologies. 
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional and matrixed teams. 
  • Strong situational leadership capabilities, with proven ability to adapt and guide teams through change and ambiguity. 
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI technologies, Salesforce (SFDC), and Microsoft Copilot is essential. 
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expected Travel is ~ 50%.

The on-target earnings for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

246,000 - 369,000 USD Annual
