Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist in Commercial Banking Operations / Wholesale Lending Operations as part of Commercial Banking.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a variety of servicing activities for the complex commercial products
- Serve as primary liaison and work collaboratively with Sales, Legal, Control and Risk, Technology, and various Operations and company teams as necessary to progress customer-focused needs
- Review and negotiate complex loan servicing transactions, evaluate risks, and devise strategies to mitigate risks and identify procedural modifications
- Serve as an escalation point in the resolution of client issues
- Conduct quality reviews and monitor key performance metrics as related to efficiencies and effective processes
- Coordinate servicing activities to resolve open customer issues, loan and regulatory diligence and on-going portfolio maintenance; interact with internal and external customers
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
- Research complex business and operational decisions
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals; may contribute to strategic initiatives and projects
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of asset-based lending experience
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Commercial lending experience
- Ability to review and interpret complex wholesale commercial loan documents
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Job Expectations:
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule at the location listed
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- This position is not eligible for relocation
- Provide direct customer service and acts as primary servicing contact for the loan
- Support our internal and external clients / partners (Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Collateral team etc.)
- Perform complex administrative and customer support tasks by managing daily schedules
- Recommends process or policy improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
- Review moderately complex loan servicing documentation language, book and fund new loans and modifications, including reviewing of input using system of record LUCAS (Loan Underwriting Collateral Analysis System)
- Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals
- Escalates complaints as needed to management
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced loan servicing representatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Process assigned Tranche setups using the appropriate base rate and tenure
- Process required interest and fee entries and adjustments
- Process participation settlements
- Participate in the LUCAS Ops enhancement meetings and UAT / Regression testing (As needed)
