Role Description

As a Lead Planner at Facet, you will work directly with members aged 55+ as their financial life coach and guide, helping them navigate the crucial transition into and through retirement. Your primary focus will be on the holistic planning challenges unique to this demographic, inspiring and empowering them to achieve long-term financial security and peace of mind.

You will not only be responsible for providing sound, comprehensive financial advice but for helping members make sense of their complex financial lives in actionable ways, focusing heavily on retirement income planning, risk management, and legacy considerations, all with the help of our proprietary technology.

We are looking for people who:

  • Can expertly guide members to take action on Facet’s recommendations that are in their best interest
  • Are process-oriented, organized, highly adaptable, and not afraid of a little intensity & chaos
  • Thrive when working with a large volume of members with the support of in-house tools
  • Fully embrace technology and build relationships quickly in a virtual setting

Your Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 4-6 virtual member meetings per day to help them achieve their retirement goals by acting as a financial life coach, motivating them to take action to progress their plan.
  • Deeply focus on pre-retiree/retiree issues, including Social Security claiming strategies, Medicare options, coordinating income sources (pensions, annuities, portfolios), and estate plan integration.
  • Build trust and credibility in order to foster strong, long-term relationships with members remotely and provide a consistent, high-quality member experience with each interaction.
  • Motivate members to take action on any appropriate recommendations, emphasizing the importance of integrated solutions like tax-optimized investment withdrawals as a core part of their retirement plan.
  • Effectively and ruthlessly manage your calendar, time, and other tasks to ensure efficiency

We believe that being a planner at Facet is the best CFP role in the industry. What makes this role different? As a planner, you…

  • Will not need to build your own book of business
  • Will be providing Facet’s best advice that is unbiased and personalized to your members
  • Will not be compensated on the amount of assets someone has managed with Facet
  • Have the flexibility to live anywhere in the US
  • Will work with cutting-edge proprietary technology built specifically to enhance the Facet Way of planning
  • Will be a part of disrupting a historically inaccessible industry and build the next great financial services company
