What you’ll do
- Lead the development of GTM reporting and analysis processes, partnering with Sales, RevOps, and Partnerships leaders while keeping practices aligned to company-wide standards.
- Serve as the primary finance partner to GTM leadership, delivering insights that drive pipeline, pricing, and revenue decisions.
- Use Pigment, Salesforce, and Tableau to build and maintain GTM reporting, from pipeline coverage to bookings performance.
- Own the mechanics and drivers of the GTM P&L, plan, and forecast methodology, including how they roll into the broader company model.
- Lead monthly and quarterly GTM reporting end to end, including budget to actuals, variance analysis, and key GTM performance metrics.
- Build financial models for what-if scenarios, pricing and packaging analysis, and ad-hoc requests to inform GTM leadership decisions.
- Partner with Revenue Ops and Partnerships on scalable, reliable data solutions that support GTM planning across the company.
- Own the end-to-end GTM financial model, including bookings, ARR, pipeline, sales capacity planning, quota setting, and sales compensation design.
What you’ll bring
Sprout Social is looking for someone with past experience in Accounting and/or Finance, who is able to communicate clearly, partners well with Sales and GTM leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment. The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 6 - 8+ years of experience in FP&A, revenue/GTM finance, or sales finance
- Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and maintain complex, scalable models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Experience at a high-growth SaaS company
- Hands-on experience with Pigment (or similar planning tools), Salesforce, and Tableau (or comparable BI tools)
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data across systems
How you’ll grow
- Complete Sprout Social’s new hire training & onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.
- Make a plan with your manager to set initial priorities, aligning on expectations for your role and planting goalposts for your career.
- Gain a deep understanding of the Finance team’s goals and the impact our work has on Sprout’s overall business objectives.
Within 3 months, you will:
- Build connections with Sales, RevOps, and Partnerships stakeholders through active networking and relationship building.
- Become proficient with Pigment, Salesforce, and data visualization tools to build and analyze GTM reports.
- Understand the mechanics and drivers of the GTM P&L, plan, and forecast methodology.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly GTM reporting.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Fully own monthly and quarterly GTM reporting, including actuals vs. target, variance analysis, and key GTM performance metrics.
- Provide GTM leadership with insights through ad-hoc financial analysis on pipeline, pricing, and revenue performance.
- Partner with Revenue Ops and Partnerships to build scalable, reliable data solutions for GTM planning.
- Own the end-to-end GTM financial model, including bookings, ARR, pipeline, sales capacity planning, and sales compensation design.
Within 12 months, you will:
- Be an expert and identify opportunities to improve our tools' capabilities and other areas for automation.
- Lead strategic GTM finance initiatives, partnering directly with Sales and RevOps leadership on business decisions.
- Mentor junior analysts and help shape GTM finance processes.

Our salary ranges reflect the expected earning potential for this role. Individual pay is based on geographic zone, relevant experience, and skills.
Our current hiring range for this role: $113,700 – $142,100 annually. Offers are made within this range, with opportunities to grow within the broader band based on performance and impact.
We share both our current hiring range and our broader geographic salary bands to provide transparency into our compensation philosophy. This ensures you understand not only your starting potential but also the long-term growth potential available as you progress in your role.
We have two geographic pay zones in the United States:
Zone 1 (New York, California, Washington): $125,000– $187,600
Zone 2 (All other US states): $113,700 – $170,500
These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
