About Rutter

Rutter powers the solutions that help SMBs thrive.

The best B2B products in the world are integrated. Our core product, Rutter’s Unified API, helps hundreds of engineering and product teams from leading fintech and commerce companies like PayPal, Capital One, Mercury, Airwallex, Payoneer, and Parafin build and maintain integrations across 75+ accounting, commerce, and payments platforms through a single schema.

Founded in 2020 and backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, and investors from Plaid, Alloy, Ramp, and Modern Treasury, Rutter is led by a team that has scaled multiple startups from under $1M ARR to IPO. Together with our customers, we empower over 1M small business owners with better access to capital, real-time financial data, and automation to operate more efficiently.

The Role

We’re looking for a Lead GTM / Growth Engineer to own Rutter’s growth roadmap and build the future Growth team.

You’ll inherit a proven system that has generated 80% of Rutter’s pipeline to date and take it to the next level. From day one, you’ll lead a small team including a growth associate, set direction for GTM automation, and design the systems that will scale Rutter’s revenue engine like a 20+ person organization using AI and automation.

This is a hybrid role across growth strategy, automation engineering, and team leadership. It’s perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems thinking, data, and execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Growth Roadmap – Define and prioritize initiatives across automation, demand generation, and GTM experimentation.

  • Lead a Small Team – Manage and mentor a growth associate and contractors, driving output, quality, and velocity.

  • Systematize and Automate the GTM Motion – Build scalable, AI-driven workflows that streamline prospecting, lead routing, and pipeline generation.

  • Run Growth Experiments – Design, test, and iterate on acquisition and activation strategies to identify new scalable channels.

  • Leverage Modern GTM + AI Stack – Expand and optimize workflows using tools like Clay, UnifyGTM, Outreach, Orum, and SFDC.

  • Build Data-Driven Feedback Loops – Own reporting, analytics, and insights on GTM efficiency, conversion, and ROI.

  • Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with marketing, sales, and product to align initiatives and maximize pipeline impact.

Who You Are
  • A Builder and Leader – You’ve built systems and teams from scratch and you thrive on scaling what works.

  • Systems Thinker – You break complex GTM processes into structured, repeatable systems.

  • Data-Driven – You measure everything and know how to translate metrics into meaningful action.

  • Hands-On with Automation – You can design and execute automations that replace repetitive work.

  • Strong Collaborator – You work well cross-functionally with GTM, product, and leadership teams.

  • Experienced – 5+ years in growth, marketing operations, or revenue systems, ideally within B2B SaaS, fintech, or developer tools.

Why Join Rutter
  • Shape the Future of Growth at Rutter – Define the roadmap, lead the team, and build the systems that scale our GTM.

  • AI-Driven Environment – Work at the cutting edge of GTM automation where every workflow compounds.

  • High-Impact Role – Your systems will directly drive Rutter’s revenue trajectory.

  • Work with a Proven Team – Join leaders who’ve scaled startups from under $1M ARR to IPO.

  • Competitive Pay & Equity – $150,000–$185,000 plus meaningful equity, full-time in-person in Flatiron, NYC.
