The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join the Advanced E-7A Mechanical Systems Team in Tukwila, WA. This position will be primarily responsible for the overall Mechanical Systems Design of the Advanced E-7 with a specific focus on liquid cooling system design. This position will be 100% onsite.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid system, and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
  • Leads the development, maintenance, or modification of system, component, and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
  • Perform and document analyses to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Leads supplier development, test, and production activities, providing direction to suppliers to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
  • Leads system component design/proposal standards to provide installation and detail documentation.
  • Trains and Coaches Others.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9+ years of related work experience
  • Experience managing projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance
  • 7+ years of related work experience with Masters
  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with FAA and Military Certification
  • Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft

Summary Pay Range:
$135,150-$182,850
