Through exceptional design craft, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership, you will create seamless experiences that reduce complexity, improve medication engagement, and support members’ ongoing well-being. Your work will directly influence key business outcomes, including member satisfaction and retention, Medicare STAR ratings, medication adherence, and operational efficiency, making design a critical driver of value for both members and Humana.
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the end-to-end design strategy for Humana’s pharmacy experience, ensuring a human-centered approach that aligns with business goals.
Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and analytics teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to simplify and enhance critical pharmacy-related member jobs to be done.
Champion user research and data-driven insights to inform design decisions and measure impact.
Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and best practices in design across all pharmacy touchpoints.
Partner with other Product and Design teams to ensure seamless and consistent user experiences across the member journey.
Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders, effectively communicating rationale and value.
Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement with the design team.

QualificationsRequired
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Expertise designing products and services in pharmacy (Medication management, Part D Benefits).
7+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing impactful digital product outcomes.
3+ years of experience coaching, mentoring, and developing designers.
Proven experience designing complex, end-to-end user journeys, preferably within healthcare, insurance, or similarly complex industries.
Deep expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and service design.
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
Strong understanding of user research methods and the ability to translate insights into effective design solutions.
Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on design execution and team leadership.
Strong business acumen, with demonstrated success connecting design solutions to measurable outcomes such as increased retention, improved customer satisfaction, or reduced operational costs.
Preferred
Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design, particularly for Medicare/Medicaid and diverse member populations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience contributing to the development of design systems, pattern libraries, and scalable design standards.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
