Jahnel Group’s mission is to provide the absolute best environment for software creators to pursue their passion by connecting them with great clients doing meaningful work. We get to build some of the most complex and compelling applications for our clients located across the country.
We’re a fast-growing INC 5000 recognized company, yet we still work as a very close-knit team (100+ employees). We’re growing like crazy, and if you’re looking for the next place to call home, hit us up for a beer or coffee.
We’re looking for a highly technical Lead Product Designer & Product Strategist to join a fast-paced team building an AI-powered content creation platform for a major publishing client. This role sits at the intersection of product, UX, and engineering — ideal for someone who’s comfortable driving discovery, shaping product direction, and translating complex requirements into clear, buildable solutions.
You’ll work directly with executives, editorial teams, and senior engineers to define requirements, design user workflows, and ensure that the platform’s UX aligns with AI/LLM capabilities and system architecture. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll move quickly, iterate often, and deliver production-ready designs in short sprints.
- Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and stakeholder alignment
- Translate business goals into clear user stories, flows, and prototypes
- Design user experiences for AI-assisted content creation workflows
- Collaborate daily with engineers to ensure feasibility and technical alignment
- Rapidly prototype in Figma and iterate based on feedback
- Support architecture discussions and define data workflows
- Deliver incremental designs within 1–2 week sprints
- 7+ years of product design experience, with 3+ years in cross-functional product roles
- Proven experience designing AI/LLM-based products (Claude, GPT-4, AWS Bedrock, etc.)
- Strong technical fluency (APIs, data models, system architecture, feasibility assessment)
- Deep experience with Figma and rapid prototyping
- Strong Agile experience (standups, planning, quick iterations, weekly demos)
- Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to executives
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and participate in technical discussions
- Strong requirements gathering skills — ability to turn ambiguity into clarity
- Experience with generative AI workflows, RAG systems, context management, or prompt engineering
- Background in publishing, content creation platforms, or editorial tooling
- Familiarity with AI cost/tokens, usage constraints, or model economics
- Experience designing tiered user experiences (beginner → advanced modes)
- Previous work with AWS-based ecosystems, Miro, or similar collaboration tools
The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
