Recognized as the No. 1 site trusted by real estate professionals, Realtor.com® has been at the forefront of online real estate for over 25 years, connecting buyers, sellers, and renters with trusted insights and expert guidance to find their perfect home. Through its robust suite of tools, Realtor.com® not only makes a significant impact on the real estate industry at large, but for consumers, navigating the biggest purchase they will make in their life, by providing a user experience that is easy to use, easy to understand, and most of all, easy to make decisions.

Join us on our mission to empower more people to find their way home by breaking barriers to entry, making the right connections, and building confidence through expert guidance.

As the Lead Product Manager for Identity & Auth, you will own the strategy and roadmap for how Realtor.com® recognizes, authenticates, and resolves the identity of every consumer across web, iOS, and Android – the foundational layer that turns anonymous visitors into known, addressable users and makes every downstream personalization experience possible.

In this role, you will own the systems and experiences that answer a single organizing question: can we reliably identify this consumer across platforms? That spans modern authentication (Auth0), a unified identity graph (Segment Unify), the end-to-end registration, sign-in, and sign-out experience, the account value proposition, and the content-gating strategy that grows
our base of recognized and registered users.

This role sits at the intersection of consumer experience, platform engineering, and data infrastructure. You will partner closely with Software and Platform Engineering, Data Science, Design, and adjacent product teams to deliver authentication that is secure, low-friction, and consistent across surfaces; while feeding trusted known-user signals into the personalization, preferences, intelligence, and activation layers that depend on them. This is a highly strategic and cross-functional role, visible at the executive level, with the opportunity to define the identity foundation on which Realtor.com®'s entire personalization strategy is built.

What You’ll Do

  • Own identity & auth end-to-end: Lead the strategy and roadmap for authentication, identity resolution, and the registration/login/logout experience across web, iOS, and Android. Drive the Auth0 migration and platform stabilization, and retire legacy auth infrastructure.
  • Grow recognized and registered users: Define and execute the content-gating strategy and account value proposition that convert anonymous visitors into known users, and design low-friction sign-in (email OTP/magic links, passkeys, SMS login) and cross-session recognition that increase the recognized/registered user rate.
  • Build a trusted identity graph: Mature deterministic, probabilistic, and progressive identity resolution via Segment Unify so that a single consumer is recognized consistently across devices and sessions, supplying the known-user signals every other squad relies on.
  • Deliver cross-platform consistency: Unify the authentication experience across web and native apps, deprecating fragmented flows (e.g., mobile app user accounts) in favor of a single, coherent identity layer.
  • Operate with platform rigor: Own reliability and quality for a critical-path system, driving down change-failure rate, improving observability, and managing the tech-debt reduction needed to keep auth secure and resilient.
  • Evangelize the identity foundation: Articulate the Identity & Auth roadmap and its measurable impact to executive leadership, securing alignment and investment for the foundational layer that enables all downstream personalization.

How We Work:
We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. This role requires three or more days in our Austin office, where employees have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8-10 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning identity, authentication, platform, or consumer-facing infrastructure products.
  • Direct experience with modern authentication and identity systems (e.g., Auth0, Okta, Stytch), including migrations and the trade-offs between deterministic, probabilistic, and progressive identity resolution.
  • Understanding of identity and data architecture patterns: identity graphs, customer data platforms, event streaming, session and cross-device recognition, and the security and privacy implications of each.
  • Proven ability to deliver low-friction, high-trust consumer experiences, registration, sign-in, and account flows, across web and native mobile platforms.
  • Strong data literacy; comfortable with SQL, KPI frameworks, and partnering with Data Science and Engineering on identity resolution logic and success criteria.
  • A platform mindset: you treat reliability, change-failure rate, and observability as first-class product outcomes, not afterthoughts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leadership decisions and translate technical platform capabilities into business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in real estate, two-sided marketplaces, or high-consideration consumer verticals where recognizing a returning consumer drives long-horizon value.
  • Familiarity with Twilio Segment (Unify), Snowflake, Amplitude, or Auth0.
  • Experience implementing passwordless authentication methods (passkeys, magic links, OTP) at scale.
  • Background in security, privacy/consent management, or platform/infrastructure engineering before transitioning to product management.
