Job Summary:
As a member of the Cat Foresight product team, you will be responsible for common services management space of Cat Foresight, Caterpillar's premier equipment and fleet management platform. This role focuses on serving as a critical liaison between customers, field service teams, and product development, ensuring Cat Foresight delivers measurable value across customer segments. You will own core customer relationships and take a customer back approach to deliver features.
What You Will Do:
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design changes.
  • Conduct business sign off testing and simulations to validate design modifications and ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Evaluate customer feedback and integrate insights into product enhancements.
  • Lead root cause analysis for product failures and develop corrective action plans.
  • Communicate ideas effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate with development teams to meet industry requirements.
  • Deliver on short-term needs that align with long-term strategic visions.
  • Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Own key customer relationships to better understand product usage and enhancement requests.

What You Will Have:
  • Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

  • Highly prefer fleet or equipment management experience
  • Strong listening skills to identify new products and features from customer feedback
  • Experience in the development of web solutions
  • Self-motivated, results-driven individual with technical expertise
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and field support
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate operational insights into actionable product improvements
  • Explains products and services with little or no use of technical jargon or advanced vocabulary
  • Perceives lack of audience comprehension; further simplifies explanation when needed
  • Performs at least 3-4 concurrent activities without reducing productivity
  • Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives
  • Facilitate design reviews and walkthroughs
  • Analyzes benefits and drawbacks of specific proposals
  • Background in construction operations with hands-on experience using Caterpillar technologies

Additional Information:
  • This position will be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL or Broomfield, CO offices.
  • May include up to 25% travel as needed

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $208,770.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
