About the Role: 

The Team: 

Our Quality Engineering (QE) team is committed to validating and delivering high-quality applications. As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with Development (DEV) and Quality Engineering (QE) teams to ensure our applications meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities and Impact: 

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts and test summaries to ensure thorough coverage of software functionalities, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure alignment with business objectives. 
  • Utilize strong technical expertise in automation tools and technologies to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for continuous integration and deployment pipelines. 
  • Proficient in performing manual testing of web-based and API-based applications with a focus on complex scenarios and edge cases, to ensure comprehensive test coverage. 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues, defects, and discrepancies, documenting and tracking them to resolution using issue tracking systems. 
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries for data validation and verification. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders regarding QA processes, tools, and methodologies. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and incorporate relevant knowledge into QA practices. 

 

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) 

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $146,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. 

 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For: 

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 

  • 7+ years of experience in complete software testing activities.  

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC. 

  • Strong technical proficiency in automation tools and technologies such as Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python etc. 

  • In-depth knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and validation. 

  • Experience testing web-based and API-based systems for user experience issues. 

  • Experience with API-based testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured. 

  • Experience with Linux operating systems' command-line tools. 

  • Experience with AWS native tools.  

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

  • Experience in supporting test strategy activities, particularly in the integration of multiple applications and systems. 

  • Demonstrated skill to proactively resolve issues and escalate appropriately. 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines 

  • Experience in using Gen-AI tools for generating testcases/test data or for testing 

  • Experience with Index/Benchmarks, Asset Management, or Portfolio Investment modelling. 

  • Experience with Market Data such as Equity, Commodity, Forex, or Options asset classes
