WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

As a Brand Lead for NYC Sportswear you will be a part of the NYC Brand Marketing Team, reporting directly to the NYC Sportswear Brand Director. This position will work across a multitude of groups within the NYC brand team, as well as with key stakeholders in the NA Brand Marketing organization. Basketball, Running, Soccer, Creative, Retail and Digital brand management teams will be critical partners to crafting and driving our consumer plans and vision.

In addition to building valuable connections with our internal partners you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships externally, including agency partners.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Lead for Nike Sportswear to join our NYC Brand Management team.

The ideal candidate is a talented brand marketeer with a deep passion for sport, style, streetwear, sneaker culture and youth culture spaces. This individual will also have a proven track record of brand marketing experience keen on leveraging that passion to imagine the future of sportswear. A positive and proactive individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating innovative thinking, the ability to see the big picture and collaborate positively with a large group of partners is key.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Brand Lead for NYC Sportswear, you are responsible for bringing our seasonal Sportswear plans to life – work that will drive brand strength, fuel consumer demand and solidify our connection to NYC culture. Leading with insights, you will obsess how to make our brand, product and experiences resonate with our NYC Sportswear consumer, while amplifying applicable global and geo-led concept map initiatives.

As a NYC Sportswear Brand Lead, you will own:

·      Partnership Cultivation: Identify people, communities and organizations that best align with our brand values and can best bring our Sportwear strategies to life. Then directly manage these relationships.

·      Seasonal Campaign Lead: Take the lead on creating full brand plans and seasonal campaigns via stories, content and on-the-ground executions.

·      Strategic Big Picture Thinking: Develop Sportwear strategies that unlock new and fresh opportunities outside of our pre-planned seasonal plans. 

·      Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely across our NYC functional teams to bring campaigns to life including project management, scheduling timelines and owning deliverables.

·      Consumer Insights: Continuously gather and apply consumer insights, helping us better serve our consumer in NYC. Feeding these insights back into NA/Global in order to help refine our longer-term strategy.

·      Budgets: Owning our NYC Sportswear annual and seasonal budget across all ongoing projects.

WHAT YOU BRING

·       5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, ideally brand management and/or creative strategy.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

·       Passion for sport, fashion, streetwear, creativity and a deep understanding of its athletes and communities, their motivations and challenges.

·       Campaign Management: Hands-on experience supporting marketing campaign from planning through to executions delivering on clear objective and KPI’s.

·       Executional Excellence & Attention to Detail: Focus on delivering efficient and timely results, while maintaining a high standard of quality. 

·       Adaptability: Skills demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and being able to adjust quickly to changing business needs and feedback in a dynamic environment.  

·       Consumer Insight & Activation: Have a deep understanding of our key consumer in NYC and having the proven ability to gather and apply consumer insights to boost seasonal brand plans.

·       Innovation & Growth Mindset: a continuous learner who explores new marketing approaches, testing and improving engagement and overall campaign success.
