You will own corporate IT operations end to end and supervise the internal service desk. Responsibilities
- Own internal IT operations for equivant end to end
- Lead the migration of equivant onto a dedicated Microsoft 365 tenant as the company separates from a shared parent-company tenant: plan the cutover, coordinate execution, and own the resulting environment
- Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive, Teams, and licensing
- Administer identity and access across Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and the joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle
- Drive consolidation toward Okta as the target identity provider while operating the existing Entra ID estate through the transition
- Manage the Windows endpoint fleet with Microsoft Intune, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and compliance baselines
- Own service desk operations: ticket triage and resolution in Zendesk, employee onboarding and offboarding, and hardware asset lifecycle
- Partner with technical services and security on the boundary between corporate IT and the hosted product environments
- Coordinate with parent-company operating group staff during the decentralization, and manage vendor and licensing relationships
- Support SOC 2 and CJIS Security Policy compliance from the corporate identity and endpoint side: access reviews, logging, endpoint hardening, and audit evidence
- Coordinate change, incident, and request management through equivant’s ITSM processes (Zendesk and Jira); maintain runbooks and technical documentation
- Participate in after-hours support for incidents as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in systems administration or corporate IT, including experience leading or mentoring others or running a service desk function
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 tenant administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, licensing)
- Hands-on experience planning and executing a Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration, or a comparable large-scale tenant or directory migration
- Identity and access administration experience with Okta and/or Microsoft Entra ID, including SSO (SAML/OIDC), MFA, and conditional access
- Experience managing Windows endpoints with Microsoft Intune
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
- Competency with scripting for automation, primarily PowerShell
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as Jira and Zendesk
- Strong problem-solving ability and excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences, with the judgment to run IT as a service to the business
- The selected candidate must be able to complete vetting required by the FBI CJIS Security Policy and any applicable state or agency requirements, including fingerprint-based background investigation
- Possible travel (approximately 5%)
- May provide after-hours support for incidents
Preferences
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102), Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300), or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
- Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Administrator
- Experience in a multi-entity, parent/subsidiary, or corporate carve-out environment
- Exposure to SOC 2 similar policy environments and the access-control and logging evidence they require
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview
- Experience in regulated, public sector, or justice software domains
