Trueline’s client, a nationally recognized law firm with a strong reputation in complex litigation, is seeking a Litigation Assistant to join their team in New York City. This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced professional to support high-profile legal matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do as the Litigation Assistant:
- Manage attorney calendars, book travel, and handle monthly expense reporting
- Prepare, revise, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, and documents
- Execute electronic filing (e-filing) across multiple court systems and jurisdictions
- Schedule client meetings, depositions, mediations, and coordinate with involved parties
- Assist with trial preparation, conflict checks, client/matter openings, and document organization
- Support billing activities, including client invoicing, billing setup, and contact maintenance
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative teams across offices
Must-Haves as the Litigation Assistant:
- Experience supporting litigation in both federal and state court systems
- Background in a law firm environment, managing administrative and legal support tasks
- High level of accuracy, organization, and ability to manage shifting priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Based in New York City
Nice-to-Haves as the Litigation Assistant:
- Familiarity with document management and docketing systems
- Experience with billing or time entry software
- Previous involvement in full litigation lifecycle including trial attendance

- Annual salary range of $72,000 to $115,000, with a target midpoint of $84,000, based on experience and location
