Job Summary: 

Assist attorneys with various legal documents such as: motions, discoveries, summonses and complaints, subpoenas, cross-claims and other pleadings.  Coordinate with attorneys any timesheets and/or reports with urgency.

 Essential Functions:

  • Assist attorneys in busy litigation department with drafting of various legal documents.
  • Assist attorneys with timesheets and reports.
  • Handle word-processing: pleadings, discovery, depositions, notices, correspondence, memos, and briefs.
  • Prepare and format Excel spreadsheets.
  • Edit, format, proofread and finalize legal pleadings which include preparing table of contents and table of authorities.
  • Screen and forward telephone calls to appropriate recipient.
  • Type accurately and proofread work. Assist with formatting Letters, Memorandums, Briefs, Motions, etc.
  • Prepare New Case Forms & E-mail New Case Opening.
  • Enter time in 3E.
  • Prepare Check Request forms.
  • Prepare Amex and Out of Pocket Statements.
  • Prepare Travel Authorization Forms, Travel Memos, & Benefit Day Memos.
  • Organize various binders w/ tabs.
  • Photocopying & Filing

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Reception coverage on a daily/ weekly basis.

 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications: 

  • Expert knowledge of Legal Documents.
  • Expert knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • TOA and TOC knowledge preferred
