Provide litigation support by drafting, editing, formatting, and proofreading pleadings, discovery, depositions, correspondence, and spreadsheets; enter time in 3E; prepare travel/expense forms; handle reception coverage, photocopying, filing, and case opening tasks.
Job Summary:
Assist attorneys with various legal documents such as: motions, discoveries, summonses and complaints, subpoenas, cross-claims and other pleadings. Coordinate with attorneys any timesheets and/or reports with urgency.
Essential Functions:
- Assist attorneys in busy litigation department with drafting of various legal documents.
- Assist attorneys with timesheets and reports.
- Handle word-processing: pleadings, discovery, depositions, notices, correspondence, memos, and briefs.
- Prepare and format Excel spreadsheets.
- Edit, format, proofread and finalize legal pleadings which include preparing table of contents and table of authorities.
- Screen and forward telephone calls to appropriate recipient.
- Type accurately and proofread work. Assist with formatting Letters, Memorandums, Briefs, Motions, etc.
- Prepare New Case Forms & E-mail New Case Opening.
- Enter time in 3E.
- Prepare Check Request forms.
- Prepare Amex and Out of Pocket Statements.
- Prepare Travel Authorization Forms, Travel Memos, & Benefit Day Memos.
- Organize various binders w/ tabs.
- Photocopying & Filing
Additional Responsibilities:
- Reception coverage on a daily/ weekly basis.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Legal Documents.
- Expert knowledge of Word and Excel.
- TOA and TOC knowledge preferred
