The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-ownership, tech-enabled, and business-minded Legal & Compliance Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone and "Chief of Staff" for the Legal, Risk & Compliance function at XR Extreme Reach.

This is a dynamic, high-impact role designed for a true operator who can seamlessly bridge legal expertise and executive execution. Serving as the connective tissue between Legal, HR, Finance, Product, and executive leadership, you will eliminate friction, drive cross-functional alignment, and build standard operating models that allow our global legal team to move fast, stay compliant, and scale at pace with the business.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Chief of Staff Enablement

  • Serve as the operational right hand to the General Counsel, translating legal department goals into clear project plans, accountability structures, and measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a versatile, cross-vertical force multiplier across Commercial Deals, Corporate Development, Governance, Litigation, HR/Employment, and Product/Regulatory matters—stepping in to fill process gaps, stand up interim solutions, and ensure continuous operational support during periods of change or growth.
  • Own the legal tech stack, evaluating and implementing modern CLM, entity management, and AI-driven efficiency tools to automate manual workflows and enable the Legal team to make outsized business impact.
  • Define and track department OKRs, key operational metrics (cycle times, volume, external spend), and vendor performance to report clear insights to leadership.

Global Corporate Governance & Strategic Transactions

  • Manage global entity maintenance and subsidiary governance across international corporate structures, ensuring accurate board materials, corporate filings, and compliance records.
  • Drive operational logistics for Corporate Development, strategic transactions, and restructuring initiatives—managing virtual data rooms, coordinating legal diligence, and overseeing post-closing documentation.

Commercial Contracts & Workflow Optimization

  • Standardize and streamline global commercial deal flow by, among other things, reimagining intake systems, crossfunctional communication, contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms and AI tooling.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Procurement to accelerate contracting cycles while maintaining robust risk controls.

Risk & Compliance Project Management

  • Understand and systematize the company’s broader risk management and relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Serve as lead project manager driving cross-functional accountability across business units and operational functions to support compliance requirements and audits.
  • Orchestrate technology tool selection and vendor implementation to support compliance tracking.
  • Support HR and Finance on employment compliance, cross-border employee logistics, and policy rollouts.

Requirements
  • Experience: 5–8+ years in legal operations, corporate paralegal leadership, or legal project management within a fast-paced, high-growth technology or global corporate environment.
  • Scope Expertise: Hands-on experience across multiple legal verticals—specifically global corporate entity management, commercial contracting workflows, corporate transaction support, and compliance program rollouts.
  • Tech & AI Adoption: Forward-thinking approach to software and legal tech (CLM, entity management, workflow tools) with a strong appetite for leveraging generative AI to streamline legal processes.
  • Project Management Mastery: Proven track record of orchestrating complex, multi-stakeholder programs (e.g., AML/compliance program rollouts, tech integrations, or M&A diligence) on tight deadlines with executive visibility.  Attention to detail and ability to juggle priorities.
  • Working Style: Assertive yet highly collaborative. You combine strong business acumen with high emotional intelligence and excel at translating legal concepts into actionable business steps.  You get things done and break down barriers. You take pride in shipping process improvements (small and large) that improve the legal team’s impact on the business.

FLSA Status: Exempt
