Sharebite is the leading meal benefits platform built exclusively for companies to feed their employees. Our platform allows employees to order meals from any restaurant while streamlining all of the ordering & billing requirements for the company. Every meal ordered through the Sharebite platform results in a meal donation to local partners like City Harvest and Feeding America to help combat food insecurity. To date, Sharebite has donated over 15 million meals.

The Role

Sharebite's Legal Intern will have a rare opportunity to work directly with our small, dynamic in-house legal team within a fast-growing, fully remote, mission-driven company. As part of a lean legal function, you'll have meaningful exposure to a wide range of legal matters and the chance to make a real impact. Working alongside and with the support of Sharebite's Head of Legal, the Legal Intern will assist with leveraging Sharebite's strong mission-driven foundation to build out new initiatives within the company while also supporting commercial deal flow and other routine work across Sharebite's various teams as needed to help drive the business forward.

This role is ideal for tech-savvy law students who are excited about the intersection of law, AI, and social impact, and who want hands-on experience implementing cutting-edge legal technology solutions in a startup environment. In a small team setting, you'll gain broad exposure and take on substantive responsibilities that would typically be reserved for more senior roles at larger organizations.

Sharebite is currently seeking 1 full-time intern for the Summer (35-40 hours per week). Exact start and end dates are flexible.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with our small in-house legal team as an integral member, contributing to strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations across all aspects of our legal function.
• Take a primary seat in Sharebite's cross-functional organization as we continue to formalize our sustainability goals and reporting frameworks, implement impactful and compliance-driven AI solutions across our legal function, and streamline our workflows across the company.
• Lead or contribute to AI implementation projects within the legal function, including evaluating and deploying LLM-based tools for contract review and workflow automation.
• Engage in drafting, review, and implementation of sustainability and impact-related work, as well as commercial agreements and contracts more generally.
• Serve as a key legal ops resource, building upon the foundation we've created to further optimize, automate, and standardize our contracting procedures and record keeping.
• Work cross-functionally to support the varied legal needs of Sharebite's Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Product/Tech, Operations, and other teams as needed.
• Gain valuable experience and knowledge in transactional lawyering within a fast-paced, mission-driven startup where small team dynamics mean greater responsibility and visibility.

Required Skills & Experience

• Rising 2L or 3L law student (as of Summer 2026) at a fully-accredited law school
• Demonstrated interest in AI, legal technology, and/or data privacy through coursework, projects, or self-directed learning
• Resourceful, self-driven, curious, and collaborative
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in a small team environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented mindset, capable of systems-level thinking
• Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new software tools quickly
• Equipped with reliable internet access, including video conferencing capabilities
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
• Mission-driven; inclined to leverage business as a tool for social good

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated interest in transactional law, data privacy, the use of AI/LLMs in legal practice, and social impact, through relevant coursework and/or work experience
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, legal-specific AI platforms) and understanding of their applications in legal practice
• Experience with Salesforce, Ironclad, or other CRM or contract management software
• Experience within or exposure to fintech, SaaS, or tech startups more generally
• Prior work experience in a fast-paced and/or remote work environment
• Coursework or background in computer science, data science, or related technical fields

Compensation & Benefits

At Sharebite, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and location. The base compensation range for this role is $18 - $26 per hour, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills and competencies.
