The law clerk will work with in–house counsels on the preparation of transaction-related documentation, regulatory filings, corporate documentation, or any other legal document produced by the U.S. Property and Casualty Legal team, organize and assist in submission materials for policy filings with State regulators, conduct legal research and monitor emerging issues. As time permits, the role holder will be expected to drive and/or support (depending on capacity) the review and development of training materials, 50 states comparative charts, internal policies and processes, economic sanctions screening and other organizational and business-related initiatives. The role holder may be asked to work closely with the Compliance and Claims teams on relevant matters.
ResponsibilitiesFinOps Reporting Support: Assist in the implementation and configuration of Microsoft’s FinOps Toolkit and Power BI FinOps reporting templates aligned with the FOCUS data standards.
Billing Data Ingestion: Support the generation, intake, and validation of Azure Cost Management & Billing data exports into Azure SQL Database and reporting datasets.
Data Reconciliation: Reconcile legacy inhouse FinOps reports with new Microsoft FinOps reporting to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Power BI Development: Contribute to the enhancement of Power BI reports, including data models, measures, and visualizations used by technical and financial stakeholders.
Cost Allocation Analysis: Assist in validating and improving cost allocation logic based on tagging standards, application mappings, and shared services costs.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Document data flows, assumptions, and reporting logic, and propose improvements to reporting processes and data quality.
Problem Solving - Ability to identify and analyze issues, proposals and rolling out relevant solutions after appropriate approvals

Education: Registered as first, second- or third-year law student from an accredited law school or international equivalent.

Pay Range for roles performed in IL: $23.50-$25.50, NY: $25.50-$27.50 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including
but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees.
