Senior Corporate Counsel
Addepar is seeking an experienced (6+ years) transactional / general corporate attorney with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.

Primary Responsibilities
The legal team at Addepar consists of a General Counsel (based in NY), an Associate General Counsel (CA) and a senior contracts administrator (NY). As a senior member of the legal team, you will be responsible to support:
- Sales, Partnerships and Services teams on complex technology and related transactions;
- Finance/Billing teams on procurement and billing (including disputes) matters arising from client and vendor contracts;
- Marketing team on marketing collateral;
- Information Security and Compliance teams on risk management, data security, and policy drafting and implementation;
- Engineering and Product organizations on data processing/infrastructure and product-related (design to launch) issue spotting.
In addition, the Senior Corporate Counsel will manage a senior contracts administrator and oversee outside counsel relationships.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- At least 5 years advising on, negotiating and drafting complex technology and other agreements, including subscription/license (inbound and outbound) agreements, master services agreements, professional services agreements, vendor agreements, and alliance/partnership/reseller agreements
- Highly collaborative and capable of working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Information Security, Services, Compliance, Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams in a distributed, fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated experience advocating for and implementing repeatable, scalable processes for various contractual and similar workflows
- Sharp business acumen and ability to provide plain language, business-minded legal advice to internal stakeholders (including Leadership)
- A demonstrated track record of building and maintaining credibility with internal stakeholders
- Bar admission (NY or CA preferred)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Experience with privacy (GDPR/CCPA) law (including reviewing privacy addenda) and data security (including reviewing data security addenda) strongly preferred
- Experience in a product counseling role strongly preferred
- Experience with international commercial transactions preferred
- A background in financial services and/or fintech, including broker/dealer regulations and market data, preferred
