This role will be within the Leveraged Finance Capital Markets team which focuses on structuring, originating, and syndicating Leveraged Loans and High Yield Bonds across a variety of industries and sponsor/corporate companies.  Leverage Finance Capital Market bankers have the opportunity to partner with Leveraged Finance Originations and Coverage groups as well as clients in all facets of the underwriting/structuring, marketing, and distribution processes associated with leveraged debt instruments.

In this role, you will:

  • Operating with high degree of autonomy in conducting various financial analyses, including evaluating financing structures to support company’s strategic growth plans, acquisitions, and sponsor LBO activities
  • Preparing presentations and materials for clients, rating agencies, and potential investors
  • Partner with all members of the deal team to ensure flawless execution for our client and investors
  • Enhancing an understanding of market dynamics and investor appetite to assist in proposed structuring and pricing of transactions
  • Developing and mentoring junior talent
  • Participate in analyzing companies and client investments
  • Make recommendations to clients on investments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program
  • Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal and external customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior Leveraged Capital Markets experience
  • An MBA or equivalent, with coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • A sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
  • Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, collaborative, and team environment
  • Background in banking or capital markets

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
