Department Overview
EMEA Demand Planning Team within Motorola Solutions Systems is responsible for managing the volume planning process across selected product categories for the EMEA region. Demand Planners analyze data and work closely with the Supply and Sales department to ensure the business is ready to handle the expected demand. Planners utilize advanced statistical forecast methods to achieve optimal demand signal accuracy and consistency. Demand Planning team is producing reports and ad-hoc analysis that evaluate demand-capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented. Demand forecast provided by the Demand Planning team is used by Motorola Solutions to gain necessary competitive advantage in the current ever-changing business environment.
Job Description

Are you a proactive supply chain expert ready to tackle complex lifecycle challenges? We're looking for a Lifecycle Supply Planner to be the backbone of our EMEA product transitions. In this high-impact role, you'll manage the delicate balance of supply and demand for all New Product Introductions (NPIs), Cutover events, and Obsolescence (Status 01/02/04/05) to ensure a seamless product flow. Your core mission: minimize excess inventory while eliminating costly shortages across the region. If you thrive on precision planning and cross-functional coordination, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Own the Lifecycle Plan: Actively manage and execute the supply plan for all non-production items, covering product launch, transition, and end-of-life phases.

  • Mitigate Risk: Proactively identify and resolve potential supply gaps or overstock situations to maintain optimal inventory levels (Status 01/02/04/05).

  • Drive NPI Success: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure a smooth, on-time launch for all new products in the EMEA region.

  • Coordinate Cutover/Obsolescence: Lead the execution plan for product phase-in and phase-out, coordinating with logistics and manufacturing to minimize obsolescence and material write-offs.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) like Inventory Value, Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) levels, and Supply Availability.

System Integrity: Maintain accurate data within planning systems to ensure forecast and inventory


Basic Requirements
  • 2+ years of direct experience in Supply Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or Inventory Management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in English. You must be able to clearly articulate complex supply issues to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and modeling.

A Plus If You Have:

  • Experience with Oracle Value Chain Applications (ASCP) or a similar advanced planning system (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis).

  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD).

  • Prior experience focusing specifically on New Product Introduction (NPI) or product lifecycle management.
