As a Line Producer, you know when and how to adapt to breaking news, have stellar communication skills, strong editorial judgment, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and time rundowns
Identify stories, angles, and elements each week
Pitch and execute creative and innovative ideas for segments and guests
Time the show in the control room, and communicate with anchors clearly and effectively
Responsible for story placement, compelling story teases, and other production elements
Oversee and rewrite copy
Guide associate producers and bookers on best segment elements and editorial practices
Work collaboratively with showrunner and show team
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
5+ years of newsroom experience, including 2 years of line producing and relevant control room experience for a television newscast
Solid news judgment and strong knowledge of politics and current events
Excellent writing skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-110,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
