As part of the Brand Strategy team at Lippincott, you will play an integral role in solving complex brand challenges for ambitious companies, partnering with teams across the firm to create and bring solutions to life through strategy, experience, marketing, and design. You will apply analytical and creative thinking in everything you do to tackle transformative initiatives for clients. Get ready to consult globally across industries on a range of branding challenges, including brand positioning, messaging, brand architecture, naming, and marketing and customer strategy.

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for structuring and managing the case in terms of thought leadership and project management. You will guide the team to deliver the solution and build top-notch deliverables—varying from creative big ideas to elegant architecture models and more. No matter how ambiguous the brand challenge, you’ll develop the core problem structuring and solving approach to get it done. To clients, you’ll become a trusted expert they can rely on for day-to-day guidance. On your case teams, you’ll be a people-manager and thought leader, steering the work plan and owning multiple workstreams of a project. And when solving multi-disciplinary brand challenges, you’ll be a critical thought partner for other teams (e.g., design, experience) and voice of the client’s needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee and shape the development of potential brand opportunities based on client business strategy, competitive dynamics, best practice analysis, and customer insights
  • Structure project work plans and guide team workflow, while developing and guiding more junior team members
  • Be the key point-person with clients and other stakeholders, help manage their expectations, and provide recommendations reflecting Lippincott’s point of view
  • Develop client relationships and contribute to new business opportunities
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with client leadership and their customers
  • Manage case team resources (e.g., talent, firm intellectual capital, budget)
  • Identify other experts, frameworks, and examples from Lippincott to aid the case team in cracking- multi-disciplinary challenges for clients
  • Develop storyboards and identify applicable frameworks for client presentations, and then play a significant role in delivering them
  • Manage and analyze quantitative and qualitative customer / prospect research, partnering with analytics specialists as appropriate

What makes you a great candidate:

  • At least 8 years of full-time experience in consulting, business strategy, or brand strategy
  • MBA or equivalent welcomed, but not necessary
  • Advisory and leadership presence with experience enthusiastically building, motivating, and inspiring teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to steer the team’s structured problem-solving approach to open-ended directions or changes in priorities
  • Ability to lead multiple client projects simultaneously and autonomously
  • Outstanding presentation, writing, and the ability to communicate effectively to both the C-suite and entry-level (incl. PowerPoint)
  • Ability to connect the dots between deep business understanding, brand implications, and creative solutions to the client’s specific challenge
  • Ability to influence and guide multi-disciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders to get the job done
  • Passionate about pushing your thinking, attacking issues from multiple angles, and stretching yourself to provide outstanding brand ideas to clients
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and solve challenges that extend the scope of brand into experience and marketing
  • An appetite for learning and tackling challenging topics across a diverse range of clients/industries
  • Openness to travel

The applicable base pay for this role is $150,000 - $190,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
