Trueline is seeking a Litigation Associate (4th to 5th Year) to join its team in Boston, MA, or New York, NY. This role offers high-visibility work on complex, high-stakes commercial disputes and the opportunity to grow with seasoned partners across multiple litigation areas.

What You’ll Do as the Litigation Associate:

  • Manage key phases of complex commercial litigation, including written and document discovery.
  • Conduct legal research and draft clear, persuasive memoranda, pleadings, and both dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
  • Take and defend depositions and assist with witness preparation.
  • Support all aspects of trial preparation and strategy in coordination with partners.
  • Collaborate with team members on cross-border matters, corporate disputes, shareholder and derivative actions, fraud cases, and other sophisticated commercial litigation.

Must-Haves as the Litigation Associate:

  • Admission to the bar in the state of your primary office (Massachusetts or New York).
  • 4th to 5th year litigation experience at a law firm or through clerkships, handling complex commercial cases.
  • Hands-on experience with discovery, drafting and arguing motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong analytical ability.
  • Proven ability to manage case responsibilities independently and collaboratively with partners.

Nice-to-Haves as the Litigation Associate:

  • Experience on both plaintiff and defense sides of commercial litigation.
  • Background with cross?border disputes and multi?jurisdictional matters.
  • Experience working across different litigation specialties beyond core commercial work.
