The Corporate Operations team at Yext is looking for a Localization Manager to manage our global localization process. The Localization Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the localization process across various teams and stakeholders. This role involves overseeing a team of freelance language managers and localization project coordinators, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the high-quality and timely delivery of localized content. This role requires exceptional program management skills, customer-centric approaches, a keen understanding of the importance of localized content, and the ability to collaborate across teams and global geographies.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of freelance language managers and localization project coordinators
  • Work closely with external language service providers to ensure on-time, high-quality translation delivery
  • Effectively manage localization projects, end-to-end translation workflows, and concurrent deadline-driven tasks across various teams. Review, prioritize, and track the resolution of issues that affect localized content quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other stakeholders across different locations and time zones
  • Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to diverse content types
  • Guide stakeholders to ensure localization best practices are followed and drive efficient execution. Raise awareness about and implement best practices in localization and internationalization across the organization.
  • Create, maintain, and manage glossaries and translation memory to provide brand and translation consistency
  • Establish and continually refine localization strategy, process, and requirements
  • Develop long-term vision, infrastructure, and operational frameworks to scale localization production best practices
  • Establish and enforce project governance processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Develop project documentation, templates, and guidelines to facilitate consistent project execution
  • Track and report on project progress, milestones, and deliverables while identifying and addressing potential risks and issues
  • Lead strategic initiatives that improve process and cost efficiency, including exploring new vendors and management systems
  • Architect scalable localization practices that can serve global marketing teams effectively

What You Have

  • 8+ years of experience in the localization management role or domain
  • Demonstrated experience with in-house or third-party translation management and content management systems
  • Experience onboarding and training teams to localization workflows alongside developing and executing process documentation
  • Experienced in defining scope and schedule while flexible in accommodating scope changes and interruptions
  • Experience with UI localization management
  • Self-motivated, effective communicator, detail-oriented with the ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Solid project management skills and the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities while remaining focused on goals
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information from diverse sources to make decisions, plan, and find solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe products
  • Proficiency with Project Management tools (e.g., Asana) is a plus
  • PMP or CAPM certification is a plus

Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.

Annual Base Pay Range

$102,150$177,500 USD
