About the Role:

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer Intern with interest in digital health and shaping the future of personalized medicine. Your work will help people with unmet medical needs, including those who wish to quit smoking, those with major depression disorder, and those with schizophrenia—ultimately improving lives through engineering.

This position is based out of Click’s headquarters located in Tribeca, NYC, at the center of one of the fastest-growing digital health communities. This is a hybrid internship in which you will come to the office Tuesday and Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the machine learning team to develop and implement statistical and machine learning models.
• Assist in data collection, preprocessing, and analysis to support model training and evaluation.
• Participate in the design and optimization of algorithms for various applications and services
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and DS technologies.
• Contribute to the documentation of models, algorithms, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Rising Junior or Senior undergrad.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and familiarity with relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, sklearn).
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or project experience in machine learning.
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks and architectures, specifically transformers and LLMs
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Databricks) and source control tools (e.g.,Github, mlflow) for machine learning.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background.

Compensation: $22/hr

Hours and Duration:

This is a part-time, 30 hours/week position. The internship will have a duration of 11 weeks, from May 15th - July 26th 2024.
