About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Macro Analyst to help our global trading and research teams delve deeper into the macroeconomic and geopolitical drivers of assets. The ideal candidate is someone who can rapidly spin up on new regions or topics of interest, develop well-reasoned views, and generalize those ideas to broader questions, not just someone with existing expertise in a particular geography. Our day-to-day work is diverse, and your focus on global macro topics will help us expand our trading opportunities.

Responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Engaging in detailed, technical discussions with traders and researchers by providing macro updates and quantitative analyses, presenting your logic and reasoning grounded in data, numbers, probabilities, and statistical insights, and addressing any follow-up questions with clarity and precision
  • Interacting with sell-side sales and research contacts globally, aggregating broker notes, and developing and summarizing opinions (having your own contacts is a plus)
  • Running longer-term deep dives into geographies of interest or particular macro topics, ranging from correctly framing the questions and gathering the data (both by talking to external people and looking up historical data), to analyzing the findings and coming up with well-reasoned conclusions and recommendations (both quantitative and qualitative)
About You
  • Have 3+ years of experience covering macro within trading, financial services, or governmental institutions
  • Stay current with global macro or the macro of a few geographies, familiar with relevant published research and comfortable pushing into less explored areas
  • Have a strong quantitative background and a command of probability
  • Familiarity working with macroeconomic data series and possession of technical skills (e.g. Python) to perform some independent data analysis
  • Ability to work nimbly and combine datasets, statistical models, and broader economic understanding to tackle big questions

If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to [email protected].
