We are looking for a skilled and passionate Manager, Brand Marketing  with proven experience in consumer goods to join our brand marketing team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This temporary assignment will begin in October and run through the end of March 2027. This is a unique brand-building opportunity for someone looking to make an impact in the beauty industry. 

As a Manager, Brand Marketing, you will support the development and execution of consumer and channel marketing plans by understanding the consumer, target customer, competitive landscape, business performance, and market dynamics. This role will have a strong focus on day-to-day brand execution, project management, consumer marketing, creative development, and cross-functional collaboration. Additional responsibilities include supporting retailer needs, managing assigned budgets, 360° marketing planning, press relations, photoshoots, events, and customer and founder meetings. 

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, entrepreneurial, highly organized, and comfortable working both collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment. 

This role is based in NYC and you will be expected in office 3 days a week, at minimum.

Responsibilities 

  • Brand Strategy & Planning: Partner with the Sr. Director and broader brand marketing team to support the development and execution of brand strategy and annual marketing plans, including consumer, channel, and business priorities. 
  • Business & Opportunity Assessment: Analyze market, consumer, competitive, and business performance to identify opportunities for growth. Track performance against objectives and help recommend adjustments to marketing plans. Support post-launch analysis and share key learnings with the broader organization. 
  • Project Management & Execution: Lead and manage key brand marketing projects including advertising, merchandising, promotions, innovation, and seasonal activations. Develop clear briefs and work closely with internal teams and agencies to ensure projects are delivered on time and with strong executional excellence. 
  • 360° Marketing Execution: Support the planning and execution of integrated 360° marketing programs, including launch plans, assortment, launch toolkits, competitive deep dives, digital, social, website, and retail support. 
  • Creative, Content & Connections: Partner with creative, social, digital, PR, and external agency partners to develop engaging content and communications that build brand equity and drive consumer engagement. Support development of content strategies and own execution of brand photoshoots. 
  • Budget Management: Manage assigned portions of the marketing budget, tracking spend and ensuring programs are delivered on budget. Partner with the Sr. Director and cross-functional stakeholders to monitor budget performance and prioritize investments. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Product Development, Creative, Social, Digital, PR, and other internal teams to ensure brand initiatives and product/seasonal activations are aligned and executed on schedule and to budget. 
  • Retailer & Customer Support: Support preparation for key customer and retailer meetings, including development of presentations, marketing materials, and brand updates. 
  • Founder & Leadership Support: Support the Sr. Director in preparing for founder meetings, including agendas, presentations, and relevant brand updates. Participate in meetings and follow through on key action items. 
  • Champion the Brand: Help ensure consistent brand strategy and execution across functions. Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and contribute to sales and marketing presentations and key business meetings. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field 
  • 3–5 years of brand marketing or brand management experience, preferably within CPG, beauty, or personal care 
  • Experience supporting or executing integrated marketing programs across multiple channels 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business and consumer insights into actionable recommendations 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies 
  • Highly hands-on, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment 
  • Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed 
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding solutions independently 
  • Action- and results-oriented with a strong attention to detail 
  • Beauty and personal care experience preferred, but not required 

What We Offer  

$45/hr - $48/hr . Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
