Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

The Role:

This job function will serve as the client-facing production lead and project manager of native digital and print content, and editorially integrated content for the Beauty, Style, Media & Entertainment revenue categories. You will be expected to collaborate with internal departments, including Sales, Account Strategy, Creative, Legal, and Edit, to deliver seamless program execution across native content, built-if-sold editorial, integrated editorial video, livestream, live event, and video/photography-led native programs.

In addition, this role will facilitate the execution of sold editorial sponsorships on Byrdie, InStyle, Shape and PEOPLE cross-vertically. You will work closely with the editorial teams of these brands across site, social and video, acting as a single point of contact between sellers, marketers and clients, while serving as the advocate for the client’s best interest and People Inc. revenue objectives. 

This role will sit within Studio at People Inc, the publisher’s in-house creative agency and content studio. 

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of experience leading the production of high-impact content at a publisher, media company, and/or agency. You must possess a knack for creative problem solving, top-knotch project management skills, and an ability to work compatibly with a range of working styles, liaising seamlessly between the more creatively- and operationally-minded teams involved in their campaigns. This candidate should have a working knowledge of content production, content formats, and the social media landscape. 

Hybrid 3x a week- (NYC, NY) 

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

Client Service + Management

  • Responsible for client experience from point of kickoff through final delivery, maintaining white glove standard of service throughout
    Represent the client’s best interest at each turn, ensuring client satisfaction from end-to-end 

  • Build rapport and relationship with key client accounts, directly contributing to renewals and incrementals alongside sales

  • Continually refine presentational and written communication skills to ensure production expertise is demonstrated on the client level 

  • Effectively consume, distill, and address client feedback in a professional and solution-oriented manner

Native Project Management + Production 

  • Responsible for facilitating the life cycle of native content, editorial BIS content, and custom media, and providing a seamless advertiser experience from end to end 

  • Establish and maintain project timelines and ensure deliverables and deadlines are met

  • Act as the central hub for native / branded content + edit BIS projects; organizing all pertinent information, engaging the appropriate team members and external partners, and clearly communicating project needs, deliverables, deadlines, and individual responsibilities

  • Supervise production to ensure it runs efficiently, effectively, on time, and on budget. 

  • Provide support to Studio at People Inc creative teams to help them realize their creative vision, facilitating their process and ensuring they have all necessary tools to succeed. 

  • Problem solve between and within various Studio at People Inc creative teams + editorial brands 

  • Maintain Airtable tracking dashboard to ensure proper filing of deliverables, project coding, expense tracking, and assignment tracking, and serve as the operational center point, responsible for contracting, vendor onboarding and payments

  • Manage budgets of all elements incurring hard costs to stay within allotted margin while maintaining accurate and meticulous reporting on overall program margins + native AND editorial spends, staying accountable to finance leadership needs and requests 

  • Intake creative deliverables and feedback from clients, ensuring all creative directives are clearly communicated to respective teams, and facilitating creative huddles when necessary

  • Maintain air tight communication with Account Strategy, collaboratively tracking go-live dates and media plan shifts 

  • Provide budget estimates for native elements and compile comprehensive COGS (aka production budget) across native, talent, video and edit components for pre-sale proposals 

  • As needed, provide detailed pre-sale timelines

Editorial Project Management + Production 

  • Build relationships and establish trust with key editorial leadership and counterparts 

  • Balance editorial and site health priorities with revenue goals/client needs

  • Coordinate across multiple internal teams (Editorial, Video, Social, Account Strategy and Sales) to ensure flawless execution of sold editorial sponsorships. 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for all assigned campaigns, spanning new content creation, client integrations, social media, program promotional plans and more.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:

B.A. or B.S. in Marketing/ Advertising, or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

Experience:

2-5  years’ experience in media, fashion, beauty, entertainment, production or similar 

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in the media landscape, particular social media, digital video, and written editorial content 

  • Should be detail-oriented, able to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects with changing priorities

  • Must possess excellent communication, written, and organization skills

  • Fluency in Google Suite required

  • Familiarity with both Adobe Creative Suite and Airtable is a plus

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
