Your Role at impact.com:

Partnerships are at the heart of impact.com - not just enabling thousands of brands to develop their own partnerships, but making sure we are a leading partner in our own right. The impact.com Agency Partnerships team works with hundreds of agencies to source new business and to ensure impact.com clients are supported by a full ecosystem. The team is cross-organizational in nature, working closely with sales, product, success, marketing, legal, and more.

Channel Partner Managers (CPMs) on the agency team are responsible for building long-term, mutually beneficial, business relationships with marketing agency partners. Agency partners are responsible for a substantial portion of impact.com’s growth and success, and this vital team is the driver of those partnerships.

As a Manager, Channel Partnerships on our agency team, you will lead a team tasked with recruiting new agencies into our ecosystem with the goal of making them long-term productive partners. Using strong consultative skills, you and your team will work with partners to dissect their business goals and coach your partners on how to grow their business with impact.com. You will guide agencies in learning how impact.com can help them improve their client acquisition rates, client retention rates, and overall business profitability. Success in this vital role requires you to balance salesmanship, business development, account management, relationship-building, education, and more.

The ideal candidate will balance creativity, action-orientation, and a propensity for experimentation and iteration with thoughtful team and process building. You will work to develop the skills of the individual contributors reporting to you, run 1:1s, manage performance, and help to get the best out of your team. You will ideate and execute on new strategies along with your team. This is a mixed role where you will operate as a people manager and also an individual contributor, working with partners of your own.

A successful candidate has a proven track-record of success in channel partnerships, is energetic, curious, tenacious, highly motivated, organized, a natural networker, and an excellent consultative seller. You’re not afraid of goals, and thrive when talking to people, selling them things you believe in. You should be tech-savvy, and comfortable explaining complex concepts. The best candidates will have a strong understanding of performance marketing and the role agencies play in driving growth for their clients.

This role reports to the VP of Channel Partnerships and is a part of the larger Channel Partnerships team which is responsible for the success of all of impact.com’s Channel Partners (agencies, technology partners, referral partners, and others).

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a team of individual contributors responsible for driving pipeline & bookings growth through channel partners.
  • Manage a book of your own high-value or strategic partners.
  • Own the creation and delivery of a strategy for your team.
  • Through your own efforts and your team’s:
    • Recruit new agencies into our ecosystem and convert them into long-term productive partners at scale.
    • Grow the volume of referrals from both existing and new-to-impact.com partners
    • Manage the inbound referral process between partners and impact.com sales
    • Direct the outbound referral process - coordinating and executing requests for agency introductions for both current and prospective clients
    • Conduct business reviews with strategic agencies to review progress and encourage more new business opportunities
    • Maintain data hygiene and strong channel practice
  • Improve the performance of your team by mentoring, coaching, and managing performance.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in Channel Partnerships, Sales, or Business Development at a cloud-based SaaS provider
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Marketing
  • An innate business development acumen as well as the ability to build rapport rapidly
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Significant autonomy, organizational capacity, and a history of rolling out successful go-to-market efforts
  • Deep intuitive understanding of the partnerships space & business models
  • A hunger for success and growth coupled with creativity and the willingness to try new things
  • Expertise in typical go-to-market tools; Groove, Salesforce, Google Suite, etc

Salary range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, plus additional 30% variable commission plan and eligible to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.

This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
