In this role, you’ll lead communications and strategy with both clients and partners. You will build and maintain relationships with accounts and customers and drive alignment around the client’s business, account strategies, and objectives. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  •  Primary Point Contact – Serve as account owner and strategic liaison between clients and internal partners; own and maintain comprehensive business reviews and account plans for assigned portfolio; drive alignment across the organization around client business objectives, ensuring all internal teams understand and support account strategies

  • Drive Revenue Growth & Retention – Develop and implement strategic business growth plans for each account; identify vertical market, supplier, and industry trends to uncover expansion opportunities; negotiate contracts with commercial terms that secure revenues exceeding targets across GBT products, services, and solutions; generate new sales opportunities within existing accounts to drive retention and growth

  • Design & Implement Solutions – Lead the design and execution of Travel Program Spend Strategy and Technology Road Map; partner with internal teams to design customized service platforms and consulting engagements; negotiate proposals and strategy for consulting, meetings, and product engagement sales aligned with client needs

  • Strategic Planning & Alignment – Conduct bi-annual strategy sessions with business partners to update strategic account plans; perform quarterly reviews of company earnings, executive presentations, and industry news to recommend adjustments; ensure organizational responsiveness and accountability to client priorities across all departments

  • Expand Client Relationships – Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within existing accounts; develop deep understanding of customer business needs from C-level to travel department; demonstrate industry insights and competitive understanding to guide clients; identify and leverage B2B opportunities and commonalities for expansion

  • Ensure Compliance & Performance – Interpret overall T&E compliance and leakage reports; develop and deliver comprehensive compliance and communication plans to clients; monitor and drive achievement of key performance metrics and GBT brand strategies

  • Manage Implementation & Operations – Oversee client onboarding, product implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance; facilitate MI setup and maintenance of management information reporting profiles and dashboards; troubleshoot reporting issues; manage Salesforce CRM to track account activity and performance

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confirmed experience in B2B business development and sales 

  • Travel industry knowledge 

  • Expert problem solver 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation 

  • Financial foresight 

  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills 

  • Working in a remote environment with internal partners and leaders across the globe

  • Collaborative approach; able to work well with global teams

  • Skills in Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite

The US national base salary range for this position is from 

$88,200.00 - $163,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, the anticipated range of which is posted above, this role is either eligible for a sales incentive plan based on specific sales' roles, or for a discretionary annual bonus, which rewards participants based on individual and/or company performance.
