Job Description

Snap Finance is seeking a driven and analytical Manager, Corporate Development to lead the evaluation of M&A and other strategic investment opportunities. Sitting within the Finance team, this role owns the financial analysis behind our corporate development efforts, from initial screening through valuation, diligence, and deal execution, in a dynamic consumer fintech company.

Reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance, the Manager will build and run the models, diligence workstreams, and executive materials that help leadership decide where and how Snap deploys capital.

How you'll make an impact:

Opportunity Evaluation & Valuation

  • Lead the financial analysis of M&A, minority investments, asset acquisitions, and strategic partnerships across Snap’s business lines (LTO, loans, and credit)
  • Build and maintain valuation models, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and merger or accretion/dilution analyses
  • Develop and pressure-test standalone and pro forma forecasts, integrating target financials into Snap’s long-range three-statement plan under multiple scenarios
  • Evaluate strategic alternatives (build, buy, partner, or pass) and frame the financial trade-offs for senior leadership

Due Diligence & Deal Execution

  • Lead financial due diligence workstreams, including unit economics (LTV, CAC, cohort performance), quality of earnings review, and data room analysis
  • Support negotiation of term sheets, LOIs, and purchase agreements by modeling key economic terms such as purchase price, earnouts, and working capital mechanics
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and Product, as well as outside advisors, to keep diligence and execution on schedule
  • Track deal timelines, open items, and issues lists, and escalate risks early

Pipeline Management & Market Analysis

  • Maintain the corporate development pipeline, including target screening, prioritization, and status reporting
  • Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis to identify and assess potential targets, partners, and investment themes
  • Prepare investment committee and board materials that clearly articulate deal thesis, valuation, risks, and recommendation

Financing & Capital Structure

  • Analyze how potential transactions affect liquidity, leverage, debt capacity, and covenant compliance under Snap’s existing facilities
  • Partner with Treasury and Capital Markets to evaluate financing options and structure for proposed transactions

Integration & Post-Close Tracking

  • Support integration planning and track post-close performance, synergies, and returns against the original deal thesis
  • Capture lessons learned and refine diligence and valuation frameworks over time

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance roles
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analysis; M&A or merger modeling experience is a plus
  • Strong command of financial statements and accounting fundamentals, with the ability to assess a target’s quality of earnings and financial performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable translating complex analysis into concise, compelling materials for senior leadership and the board
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits; you take ownership of your work, manage multiple workstreams, and follow through under tight timelines
  • Curious, humble, and collaborative; you ask good questions and are energized by complex problems
  • Experience in consumer finance, fintech, or specialty finance, or exposure to debt markets and credit facilities, is a plus
  • Experience with tools such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, NetSuite, or Adaptive is a bonus but not required
