Manager, Epic - New Business Onboarding & Mergers & Acquisitions (Manager, Product Services & Management)

Manager, Epic – New Business Onboarding & Mergers & Acquisitions is responsible for coordinating the onboarding and integration of newly acquired practices, hospitals, and strategic initiatives into Northwell Health’s Epic and enterprise technology ecosystem.
This role serves as a central point of coordination across Epic application teams, Patient Access, Enterprise Digital Services (EDS), Infrastructure, Facilities, and third-party vendors to ensure onboarding efforts are aligned, standardized, and executed efficiently.
This position does not directly manage application build or implementation teams. The Manager is accountable for ensuring the appropriate teams are engaged and aligned to deliver a seamless onboarding experience across all domains.
- Coordinates Epic onboarding efforts for newly acquired ambulatory practices, hospitals, and specialty services
- Develops and manages integrated onboarding plans across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and timelines
- Partners with Epic application teams (Ambulatory, Access, and clinical systems), EDS Infrastructure, Patient Access, and operational stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution
- Ensures onboarding entities align with Northwell Epic standards, minimizing unnecessary customization and variation
- Coordinates onboarding and integration of third-party applications and specialty systems, working with vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Collaborates with Facilities, Design & Construction, and Infrastructure teams to align system onboarding with site readiness, new construction projects, and facility activations
- Identifies and escalates risks, dependencies, and gaps across onboarding workstreams, ensuring proactive resolution
- Provides status reporting and updates to leadership on onboarding progress, risks, and key milestones
- Supports governance processes related to onboarding, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and workflows
- Facilitates communication and coordination across cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed environment
Must have:
- Experience supporting or coordinating Mergers & Acquisitions, onboarding initiatives, or enterprise Epic deployments
Working knowledge of:
- EpicCare Ambulatory
- Patient Access (Cadence, Prelude, or similar)
- Cupid, Radiant, Bones, Beacon, Beans, Kaleidoscope
- Ancillary support systems
- Experience coordinating work across multiple teams, including IT, operational, and vendor stakeholders
- Strong project coordination, dependency management, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multi-site healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epic onboarding in support of acquisitions or organizational growth initiatives
- Experience working in a large, integrated health system
- Familiarity with third-party system integrations and vendor management
- Exposure to facility-based implementations, site activations, or multi-location environments
- Previous experience with Epic Systems (vendor) or large-scale Epic programs
Job Description
Manages, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of assigned team. Leads design, implementation and enhancement support to nurses, clinicians, pharmacists, providers and allied health professionals throughout the organization. Acts as a liaison with Nursing Institute, Quality and Risk Management and Center for Clinical Excellence.
Job Responsibility
- Provides leadership to Product Services & Management team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
- Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
- Leads design, implementation, and enhancement of assigned CIS areas.
- Evaluates and assists with documentation of current processes, establishing a baseline for developmental improvements of future work-flows.
- Validates work developed by CIS staff and support teams.
- Promotes enterprise standardization, utilization, and leading practices with site clinical leadership and staff including collaborating with interdisciplinary process improvement teams in identifying and recommending uses and improvements of current the health systems.
- Collaborates with key clinicians and stakeholders to define data reporting requirements and analysis in support of patient/clinical records, performance improvement and departmental decision-making.
- Acts as a liaison to Nursing Institute, QM and Risk Management and Center for Clinical Excellence staff to coordinate and communicate CIS projects and outcomes measurement; reports on project status to CIS management.
- Facilitates ongoing enterprise CIS design and implementation associated with Nursing Institute policies and practices and QM standards.
- Ensures education of clinical and support staff to optimize information the health system/ applications and maintain integrity.
- Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.
