UTA seeks a Manager, Events professional in New York to be part of the company’s Global Corporate Communications department. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 commensurate with experience and skills.


What You Will Do

  • Oversee all onsite events hosted in UTA’s New York office. This includes managing logistics for a high volume of on-site events across all departments, including but not limited to booking catering, rentals, staff, check-in, security, photographer, florals, and handling COIs.

  • Field in-house events requests and serves as a liaison to staff members needing assistance and direction with planning events on-site. This includes working closely with building management, facilities, housekeeping, and other internal partners to ensure seamless execution of vendor and visitor management.

  • Oversee majority of tentpole events on the East Coast as the team lead in New York which includes managing all associated logistics for these events, including but not limited to overseeing production elements (such as catering, rentals, staff, security, etc.), managing internal processes around invite list curation, protocols and RSVP status, and managing onsite execution of such events.

  • Manage event communications including invitation copy, speaker introduction notes & talking points, pre-event ROS & post event recaps, arrival instructions and more.

  • Assist with guest list curation, notable talent outreach, face sheets and guest relations.

  • Collaborate with the branding team to design creative for all events & screenings & facilitate approval process with the external communications team.

  • Liaise with UTA’s in-house legal team on venue and vendor contracts to ensure proper venue management and logistics.

  • Serve as a representative and point of contact at events on-site, off-site, and virtually.

  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and exude a positive attitude and demeanor especially when interfacing with internal and external guests which will include agency partners, high-profile clients, managers, publicists, and other executives.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal departments and key stakeholders.

  • Ability to adjust to working various longer hours over a consistent period to cover on-site and offsite events.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years’ experience in event production (particularly in a creative/entertainment industry)

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote)

  • General business knowledge, extensive knowledge on social media platforms, and interest in media and entertainment business

  • Ability to be self-sufficient and make appropriate judgment calls on catering, décor, and general event needs.
