What We'll Bring:
The Payroll Manager – LATAM is responsible for leading end-to-end payroll operations across assigned Latin American countries, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing in alignment with the Global Payroll Operating Model.This role serves as the regional payroll subject matter expert, partnering closely with Global Payroll leadership, HR, Finance, Tax, and external vendors to drive operational excellence, compliance adherence, and process standardization across the region.
What You'll Bring:
1. Regional Payroll Operations
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple LATAM countries (e.g., Central America, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic,etc.)
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local labor, tax, and social security regulations.
- Review and validate gross-to-net results prior to final approval.
- Manage complex payroll elements including variable compensation, statutory bonuses (e.g., Aguinaldo), profit sharing (PTU), terminations, and expatriate scenarios.
- Coordinate payroll funding and payment timeliness with Treasury and vendors.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with country-specific statutory requirements (e.g., IMSS, INFONAVIT, FGTS, AFP, ISR, etc.).
- Oversee statutory filings, tax payments, and year-end reporting.
- Maintain documentation for SOX and internal audit controls.
- Monitor regulatory changes across LATAM and ensure timely implementation.
3. Systems & Process Optimization
- Drive standardization of payroll processes aligned to global policies.
- Lead regional payroll implementations, vendor transitions, and acquisitions.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Support data integrity and reporting accuracy.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop regional payroll analyst/Admin.
- Provide training on compliance updates and payroll procedures.
- Establish KPIs for regional performance and continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and collaboration.
Impact You'll Make:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7-10+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country LATAM payroll.
- Strong knowledge of LATAM labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
- Experience working with global payroll systems (Workday, ADP) and regional vendors.
- Experience with SOX controls and audit processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish required; Portuguese preferred).
- US visa B1/B2, travel may required as per business needs
