Job Description
As the Manager, Market and Consumer Insights (MCI), you will play a key role in shaping business strategy by researching, analyzing, and synthesizing competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and market trends across the debt relief landscape. You'll bring a data-driven mindset and deep expertise in competitive and customer research-translating complex information into clear, actionable insights that fuel growth, enhance customer experience, and strengthen our competitive position.
What you'll do
  • Conduct in-depth research on competitors and industry trends using a mix of traditional research methodologies to uncover strategies, product features, pricing models, marketing tactics, market positioning, and business performance.
  • Integrate insights from customer data, sales and retention trends, and third-party research to uncover opportunities and surface emerging risks.
  • Synthesize and analyze data from multiple sources to identify market shifts, emerging trends, and opportunities.
  • Translate findings into clear, compelling reports, data visualizations, presentations, and strategic intelligence tools-such as competitor comparison matrices and SWOT analyses-that equip stakeholders to make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, identify patterns, and surface actionable insights across market dynamics and customer behavior-enabling faster, more informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to align on priority questions and shape the research agenda-ensuring competitive and customer insights directly inform strategies that strengthen acquisition, retention, and overall business performance.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the Market and Consumer Insights team while fostering a collaborative environment that supports high performance and continuous development.
  • Provide guidance to marketing, sales and service teams based on call listening feedback, and analytics of competitor material, review sites and other comparative mediums.

Qualifications
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business intelligence, market research, and/or competitive intelligence.
  • A solid understanding of the debt relief and consumer finance landscape, including key regulations and market dynamics (debt relief industry connections a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience in call listening, coaching, and development, particularly within a customer-facing or analytical role.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect data analysis to broader business objectives and long-term strategy.
  • Strong proficiency with competitive intelligence tools and technologies, along with a solid understanding of best practices in market and customer insights.
  • Proven ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to distill complex data into strategic, actionable takeaways.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with experience managing multiple initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present findings in a clear, impactful manner.
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
