JOB SUMMARY: 

Sky Zone’s Manager of Operations Excellence plays a pivotal role in improving park performance through data-driven insights, operational benchmarks, and actionable plans. This position combines analytics with hands-on collaboration to enhance operational consistency and scalability across our company-owned (O&O) and franchise parks. This individual partners with park teams to ensure metrics lead to measurable improvements and explores emerging technologies to drive future success. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, data science, statistics, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, process improvement, or operations excellence roles, with a strong focus on using data to drive decisions. 

  • Previous experience in multi-unit operating platforms, franchise systems, and field-facing leadership roles is highly preferred. 

  • A proven leader with experience managing high-performing teams and developing talent. 

  • Proven experience working with large datasets, data analysis, and generating actionable insights to inform operational decisions. 

  • Experience in mentoring and training team members on the use of data in decision-making and process improvement. 

  • Hands-on experience in process optimization and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across business units. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Establish, Refine & Enhance Performance Metrics: 

  • Develop KPIs and benchmarks that effectively measure operational performance, guest satisfaction, and revenue growth. 

  • Create scalable systems for tracking and comparing performance across parks. 

  • Incorporate emerging technologies, such as AI and advanced analytics platforms, where they complement traditional metrics. 

  • Pilot new tools and refine their application to enhance operational insights without overcomplicating processes. 

 

Standardize Evaluation Processes: 

  • Develop and maintain consistent methods for tracking and measuring park performance. 

  • Test and refine these processes to ensure they are effective, scalable, and actionable. 

 

Analyze, Report & Evaluate: 

  • Evaluate park performance data to identify trends, strengths, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Deliver actionable insights that translate into measurable operational improvements. 

  • Use traditional metrics to evaluate park-level efficiency, guest experience, and adherence to brand standards. 

  • Provide regular performance reports to park and corporate leaders, highlighting key trends and actionable insights. 

 

Create Actionable Plans: 

  • Collaborate with park teams to develop and implement improvement plans based on data analysis and performance reviews. 

  • Ensure operational adjustments are practical, impactful, and aligned with corporate goals. 

 

Foster Continuous Improvement: 

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of performance metrics and operational plans. 

  • Incorporate field feedback to refine processes and ensure ongoing relevance and impact. 

Collaboration & Teamwork: 

  • Partner with park leadership to address operational challenges, implement best practices, and drive results. 

  • Provide coaching and support to ensure teams understand and act on performance insights. 

  • Work with Marketing, Training, and Operations leaders to align performance metrics with company objectives. 

  • Use insights to guide training programs, communication strategies, and rollout plans. 

 

Support Operational Consistency & Growth: 

  • Build scalable frameworks that ensure consistent performance tracking and continuous improvement across parks. 

  • Develop strategies to support the long-term growth and scalability of Sky Zone’s operations. 

 

Explore Emerging Technologies: 

  • Research and test emerging tools, such as AI, that enhance data analysis and forecasting capabilities. 

  • Pilot and integrate advanced technologies where they complement traditional metrics and drive improved decision-making. 

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • This position requires the ability to remain stationary at a desk, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

 

 

Compensation range is $85-95k/yr based on qualifications and experience,.  Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matchingEligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
