What You Will Do
As the Manager, Planning Optimization, you will play a pivotal role within the Supply Chain function of our fast-growing Operations organization. With this growth has come increasing operational complexity and a set of manual, knowledge‑heavy processes that no longer match the speed of our business. We are investing in the next evolution of our supply chain capabilities — and you will play a central role in that transformation. Success in this role requires a hands-on approach and a deep curiosity to learn the intricacies of each functional area, enabling you to partner effectively with our technology team on a phased digital transformation journey that supports scalable growth.
We are seeking a technologically fluent, systems‑savvy supply chain professional to lead the implementation of new planning software and to drive process optimization across our core supply chain teams: Planning, Inventory Control, Fulfillment, and Logistics. This is a highly cross‑functional role that blends systems expertise, process design, change management, and hands‑on problem solving.
This is a unique opportunity to build the digital and operational foundation that will support our next phase of growth. You will be the bridge between our current manual, high‑touch processes and the scalable, technology‑enabled supply chain we are creating for the future, directly impacting how quickly and confidently the business can make strategic decisions and drive appropriate supply chain processes.
Responsibilities
- Own Planning Software Implementation
- Become deeply familiar with current planning data, rhythms, processes and establish processes with key contributors.
- Serve as the functional lead for planning system implementation, partnering closely with the Planning team and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into system configuration, workflows, and data structures.
- Build and document new planning processes that replace manual, spreadsheet‑driven workflows.
- Drive adoption, training, and change management to ensure the Planning team becomes fully self‑sufficient post‑implementation.
- Establish business rhythms, reporting structures, and governance models that support long‑term scalability.
- Drive Supply Chain Process Optimization
- Assess current processes across Planning, Inventory Control, Fulfillment, and Logistics/Transportation to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or streamlining.
- Lead the design and integration of cross‑functional workflows, leveraging MRP, ERP, WMS, and TMS systems into connected solutions, utilizing EDI, APIs, and integration platforms to ensure accurate, timely data exchange across the supply‑chain ecosystem.
- Develop lightweight analytics tools, dashboards, and scripts (SQL, Python, or similar) to streamline data flows and decision‑making.
- Partner with team leads to codify SOPs, reduce reliance on internalized knowledge, and improve executional speed.
- Resource for Cross‑Functional Operations organization support
- Collaborate with adjacent Operations teams; Manufacturing, Productivity, Procurement, Commercialization, FSQA — to support priority initiatives and process improvements.
- Work closely with Sales, Analytics, and Strategy teams to ensure supply chain inputs support broader business planning and scenario evaluation.
- Serve as a connective tissue across teams, ensuring data, systems, and processes align with company‑wide objectives.
- Digital Transformation & Roadmap Development
- Partner with the Digital Transformation team to influence long-term product roadmap for supply chain systems and data infrastructure.
- Represent supply chain needs in enterprise‑level technology discussions and prioritization.
- Help shape the long‑term architecture that will support forecasting, inventory visibility, fulfillment optimization, and analytics.
Who You Are
- 5–7 years of experience in CPG and/or retail supply chain roles, with a strong emphasis on technology, systems, and process design.
- Deep familiarity with supply chain planning and execution processes; experience supporting or implementing planning tools is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading a full technology solution implementation or owning a major pillar of a multi‑phase implementation
- Technologically fluent — comfortable evaluating tools, working with data, and partnering with technical teams.
- Hands‑on experience with MRP, ERP, WMS, TMS, and related systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data manipulation, dashboarding, or light coding (SQL, Python, R, or similar).
- A natural problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and can build structure where none exists.
- Excellent communicator who can translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally and influencing without authority.
- Energized by building, improving, and scaling processes in a fast‑moving environment.
