Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Project Management Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California.

The Program Integration & Execution (PI&E) organization seeks a key member to support the Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) Director. This individual will oversee RIO execution within the Production Programs Business Area, ensuring alignment with the enterprise‑wide program.  Acting as the primary liaison between the RIO teams, Production Business Area , and internal/external stakeholders, the role will manage a complex, indirectly‑supervised team through clear, timely communication.  Daily responsibilities will include serving as the main interface between the RIO team and broader Production Business Area teams, ensuring that risks, issues, and opportunity actions within the Business Area are identified, tracked, and addressed promptly, driving the end‑to‑end RIO workflow,  guaranteeing consistent process compliance, monitoring performance metrics to provide visibility into RIO health and progress, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices across the Business Area.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years’ experience in project and/or program management or a Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience in project and/or program management
  • Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management
  • Experience managing projects and delivering results to support overall program objectives
  • Must have In-Scope US Government Secret clearance last investigated within 6 years or enrolled in continuous evaluation and be able to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within reasonable time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management / leadership experience
  • Proven experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management supporting large scale aircraft programs
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on compliance and process integrity.
  • Strong communication, organizational and team management credentials
  • Ability to effectively operate within high business optempo
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions to senior leadership
  • Collaborative approach with ability to effectively communicate key information and direction across diverse teams across the Business Area

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
