About the role

The Manager, Social Strategy will be the key operational and strategic lead bridging channel strategy, social publishing, and performance distribution. Your focus will be on platform strategy, managing the publishing workflow, monitoring community management, and partnering closely with our biddable (paid search and social) team to execute, optimize, and amplify content across key channels.

While this role focuses heavily on organic social strategy, publishing, and Sprout Social operations, you will also dedicate supporting bandwidth to integrated digital media planning and performance analysis across our portfolio.

If you are an organized, data-informed social strategist who knows how to leverage tools like Sprout Social, maximize platform mechanics (especially TikTok), and partner seamlessly with paid media teams to drive results, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

Social Strategy, Publishing & SME Leadership

  • Serve as Mile Marker’s go-to expert on social platform specifications, publishing mechanics, formats, and algorithm updates—with specialized, high-level mastery of TikTok and legacy channels (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, X).
  • Act as the primary administrator and power user for Sprout Social, managing editorial calendars, scheduling and publishing final assets, setting up social listening queries, and pulling channel performance reports.
  • Partner daily with internal Biddable (Paid Social/Search) teams to align organic content schedules with paid promotion, ensure proper tracking/tagging, and advise on organic post boosting and paid amplification strategies.
  • Build actionable social distribution playbooks and framework guidelines to ensure content is published at optimal times, in the correct formats, and aligned with platform best practices.
  • Monitor published organic content and brand channels, establish comment moderation and escalation workflows for sensitive topics, and ensure all publishing adheres to regulatory or compliance guidelines.
  • Utilize Sprout Social and native platform tools to monitor brand sentiment, audience conversation, and campaign benchmarks, translating platform data into actionable insights for client teams.

Media Planning & Operations Support

  • Participate in the media planning process for top-tier clients, helping build tactical plans, digital strategies, and client presentations.
  • Assist with day-to-day planning, performance tracking, budget monitoring, and reconciliation for integrated media activities.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis using Excel/Google Sheets and platform analytics to evaluate cross-channel performance and offer strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain operational relationships with digital publishers, adtech vendors, and platform representatives to explore new ad formats and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of dedicated digital and social media experience in an agency, brand, or media environment.
  • Proven SME-level knowledge of TikTok and Sprout Social (specifically around scheduling, publishing, social listening, workflows, and analytics modules).
  • Demonstrated experience managing content distribution workflows and editorial calendars across multiple channels without needing handholding.
  • Strong experience partnering directly with biddable/paid social media teams to coordinate paid amplification, post boosting, and integrated performance tracking.
  • Experience in client service or project management, with a track record of presenting performance insights clearly to stakeholders and navigating integrated teams.
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and social data extraction (interpreting post metrics, engagement trends, and distribution performance).
  • Obsessive attention to detail with high organizational standards for digital operations and scheduling accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related practical experience.

The pay range for this role is:

$90,000 - 100,000 USD per year (Hybrid (New York, NY))
